Memphis has two perfect fits in the Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) and Memphis Redbirds (Cards AAA team) as Memphis loves hoops and there are a LOT of Cards fans here.

I don't think a NFL, MLB, or NHL team would work in Memphis.

Hell, their NFL team has been basically a minor league team since they were founded.

26 seasons of 10 or more losses.

Havent made the playoffs in 10 years.

They have the worst winning percentage of any NFL franchise. To catch the next worst team(Arizona), they'd have to go 16-0 for the next 3 seasons.

Hell, the Bucs would probably welcome a move to a league they can actually compete in.

I'm sure Orlando will have a team. I would love for this to work. I'm a little done with nfl drama and rather it be about football again.

I wonder if they will let 18 year olds play? There are lots of recruits who would rather make some money and not go to class than the other way around.

Doubt they can pay a few million, but even $150k sounds like the lotto to an 18 year old. I'm super excited about it. Probably get season tickets.

Something just dawned on me. 100 million to start up a new football league isn't really a whole heck of a lot in the grand scheme of things.

However, what if the XFL isn't going to be an outdoor league, what if it is going to an indoor league ? With the AFL down to only four teams would it be beyond the realm of possibility he could buy what is left of the AFL and start his own indoor football circuit ?

It'll be outdoor. Book it.

Don't care....They have 2 years to build excitement this time. I think many will be looking for a NFL alternative. This year would have been the year if they could go back two years in a time machine. The kneeling, ratings down big, etc....
