I’ve never once blamed officials for a loss. But at the risk of sounding like a la tech fan, this was freaking ridiculous. We would’ve won by close to double digits.

Yep. Should be a four way tie atop the standings, but now UAB drops to 4th. If I was Ehsan I would've ripped the officiating in the post-game press conference and tell them fine me whatever they want.

The refs weren't just one sided, they were bad. Even a few missed calls against WKU due to incompetence. Lee clearly goaltender one call, and they only gave a Hilltoppers one free throw on a two shot foul. Bias plus incompetence, and those guys should never work again.

Funny the annoucers stated at the begining of the game they had a great refs as they officiated the National championship game last year

There has to be some way that those refs get punished for that game.

Like MB said, pure incompetence on the missed goaltend and one FT on a shooting foul.

Also, 3 fold foul discrepancy and 10 fold freethrow discrepancy.

The assistant coach for uab that sits on the end cost uab this game for the officiating. He should have got a T at the end of the first half and the ref told the other coaches to keep him in check. As soon as he stated yelling again in the second half uab bench got a T. After the game was over he actually looked at the refs and said "F*#% you" I was shocked at the uab bench in this game. Most unprofessional group of coaches I have ever witnessed.

The only reason thsose announcers weren't the biggest idiots in the building were the referees

I realize you guys are hurting after a loss and I don't expect you to be objective about your team any more than I am about mine. BUT we do have quick, athletic guards that are hard to defend without fouling. And we do have a stated strategy of driving to get fouls. We draw more fouls than we commit. We're good at it. That's been the case for most games this season.

First assistant coaches don't sit at the end of the bench. Second, the refs had it coming. Obvious they picked who they wanted to win and made it happen.

Do you really think your team committed less than a third of the fouls we did and derseved ten times as many free throws?

I'm not hurting at all. I'm mad as hell that this two bit Conference hires incompetent fools. I don't even blame Western. They just benefitted from gifts given to them.

Not even denying the fouls called on UAB. It was the fouls not called at the other end.

With 33 minutes played, Western only had five fouls. That is beyond ridiculous.

The refs deserved it. They were horrible. CUSA sucks in many ways, and officiating is at the top of the list. These refs were dogshit.

That's understandable but not 29-3 understandable. If you're going to call those fouls on UAB when you guys drive to the hoop you have to call the fouls down low on the other end when Cokely and Lee are getting hammered. Call it both ways. Hell, our guy can even catch a elbow to the face that draws blood without WKU getting whistled.

Oh you can nit pick about this call or that one. And you're going to get more calls at home, that's true for us, that's true for you. BUT I'll tell you... I can clearly remember several plays tonight where the WKU player was bumped or hacked and it WASN'T called. Again we have a dedicated strategy of getting inside and drawing fouls and we're good at it. Give us some credit.
