This is the kind of game we all need more of in this league. Congrats again.

Congrats Houston. Your defense, guard play, and shooting were the difference in this game.

Great win for us but this is a reflection to how good this league has become.

Who would be best as his replacement ?

URI's Dan Hurley

All in on that option.

Gg huskies, Tulsa got out with a win, on the come back.

#fireollie

You're all in on Tubby. Would he be great at UConn or what?

Yes he would. He was great at Kentucky which shows how well he can do at a power program. Considering the other programs have been in rebuild when he took them and all end up dancing he would be good at that.

Doubtful he'll be there though.

As far as all in? It's just easy popping Tubby haters bubbles. The facts speak for themselves. Next year Memphis will be in the tourny and the haters will still be going on.

04-cheers

What needs to be done to "steal" a fourth ?

Maybe have UCF or Temple either get to - or win outright - the conference at the tournament in Orlando ?

Temple will be in if they finish 4-0 down the stretch. 3-1 would still look good IMO but wouldn't be a lock.

2-2 means they have to do something dramatic in Orlando.

Not if Temple wins, maybe not even if they lose.

It's part of their strategy. You watch them and you can tell they aren't scared to foul. They know how hard it is to run offense through contact. UC shot a ton of foul shots, but they struggled to run anything through the physical defense Houston played. Houston also forced a ton of offensive rebounds by moving guys out of the way.

The other thing Houston did was make shots. Few teams have shot as well as Houston did against UC in the second half. They have some dudes.

This game also shows that UH’s future is bright with Corey Davis and Armoni Brooks. I’m sure some delusional AAC fans will pick UCONN to finish above UH next season. And then we add Dejon Jarreau and Nate Hinton to our backcourt. Going to be a fun ride with Coach Sampson.

A fun night of college basketball. I watched the Shockers and Temple on TV while I was watching Cincy and UH on the computer. Tough, good win for the Shocks. It is hard to beat anyone when they make 16 threes.

I agree with everything you have said. Houston has to play that way to win a game against a Cincy type team. We have to play tough, but I feel like some of the fouls were weak sauce, and it went both ways. Great game, though.

Congratulations Houston. You beat us on the boards. That was the difference. However, you have too many crybaby fans. You foul a lot.

Based on recent program history, I wouldn't blame them. You sound like a Creighton fan.
