To be fair, when you dominate a team the way we did tonight, it's hard to think otherwise.

Our sos does suck and we haven't beaten anyone really good, but we've looked like a team finding its groove so this next week will be very interesting.

Confidence is huge in college basketball and we have a ton of it right now which is in stark contrast to earlier this season.

I'm VERY cautiously optimistic right now.

Let's prove it wasn't just the competition, that we are a totally improved ball team from the beginning of the season.

Keeping the shooters hot will be key. We have been hitting a ton of 3's lately. Sadly, this can be fools gold against high level teams that guard out to the perimeter.

We are going to need the big guys to step up!

Gotta beat Marshall first. Im sure they feel they let one slip away on the road without one of their better players. Lord knows though I don't wanna go into a shootout with them. Our defense is far better than theirs but they're one of those teams that just makes 3s they have no business making. Always makes me nervous.

I'd be disappointed if ODU doesn't get to the NCAAs but presuming they don't lose any games they shouldn't lose, I wouldn't call it a failed or lost season either. The team has gotten steadily better through the season, the younger guys are getting run, and between the returning players and recruits, they can absolutely build on this for next season. This is a lot closer to that missed-the-tournament-by-a-hair ODU team that went to the NIT final four than the ODU of the two seasons that followed. That should count for something.

Yeah idk how anyone could say the season is just a waste if we don't make the big dance because there's not a soul on this board that thought we'd be where we are playing this well. However, ultimately the dance is the goal.

Yeah, disappointed but not lost. The NIT FF with Freeman was a special season. The follow up was bunk.

I'm enjoying the season and the way we are playing.

I won't enjoy March if we don't make the dance.

It’s hard to get too optimistic for me, but I like our team a lot. You know your team is in good shape when the players that dont get much PT have some obvious talent. But the conference is just killing us. We got unlucky out of conference. It’s been a mixture of bad luck. Teams like JMU, VCU and Richmond being down. Hell even Norfolk State is usually Respectable. Indiana State down. Dayton Down. St Bonaventure backs out. Then, in conference u got Charlotte twice. FIU and FAU twice. It really hurts. Hurts our different rating numbers and hurts our readiness for March. Hell, Even Temple and Towson have been disappointing. Much needed tough road trip coming up. Finally! We need the competition, win or lose. Not getting an at large anyway. As long as it gets us ready! Go Monarchs!

I'd just really hope this is the year we don't say "well there's always next year." Setting ourselves up for next year is great and all but it's been a long time coming and I hope we can get it this year. We've been rolling so I'm hopeful. Let's see what we can do on this last road trip!

Have to wonder if Thursday night didn't do something to his knee. Maybe it swelled or got sore. No other reason not to get him in tonight. He never even took his shooting shirt off.

Dominate performance - again! This is a perfect time for us to go on the road and see where we truly stand. If (big if) we dominate against Marshall and WKU, then look out! Will be the true test for where we stand. But got to love this team and where we currently sit!!!
