Anyone else think the timing of this is weird? Cohen had to know about this before this weekend. Probably him trying to get USM’s sweep out of the headlines. Reminds me of when they announced that Stansbury was fired during our NCAA Tourney game.

We haven’t seen the last of Cannizaro. Some school will hire him. Likely Tulane, ULL, or some Louisiana Southland school. The guy can flat out recruit. He was on the verge of turning State into a powerhouse.

And from one of the State message boards they are saying former State AD now Florida AD Stricklin is the one who started this/blew the whistle. But to the fan's credit they aer saying the female should lose her job as well. The message board fans now have Stricklin to blame for no football coach AND no baseball coach.

There’s no way he was fired for just having an affair. There’s got to be more to it than that. Whatever it is might be may push schools away.

If it was just an affair, yeah, someone will hire him within two seasons—maybe next season.

Rumor is he lied to Cohen about it. That may have done him in.

Not sure he'll ever get an SEC job again, but I could easily see him ending up at some school like SELA or UNO eventually. Maybe even Tulane or ULL. Hell, he has USM connections....
