Gray is a penetrator and Davis is a crack shot. The other davis has a very good inside game. Gotta get some production out of the five spot so the shooters get some room. Your bigs have terrible ball skills. They cannot fumble the ball around and lose it. If Sampson can account for this one deficiency, the Coogs may do very well.
Brooks needs to actually take some ******* shots. Maybe without Cinci-level defense hounding him, he will.

Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise for these teams that they didn't end up on the No. 5 line, where No. 12 seed Cinderella upsets are more frequent than the No. 11 line. But still, what was the committee looking at here? Did it not watch Houston's AAC tournament showing, in which it knocked off Wichita State and went toe-to-toe with Cincinnati?
I think they show year in and year out that they only watch a handful of post-season tourney games. They mean very little unless you are on the bubble.
Also, I think UH's seed was pretty much decided before the AAC conf champ game even started. I bet the 1 thru 4 seeds were all etched in stone by that point so had we won, (big) maybe we'd have squeaked into a 5 (doubtful), but for sure Cincy would not have dropped at all from their 2.
Safe to say, none of this weekend's games for UH went into the decision to seed us as a 6. But it's cool. We're in.
I think if UH lost to WSU they would have been a 7. They were penalized for their bad losses. Ultimately I think a 6 is fair. I had Houston as a 5, but none of the 5 seeds above them are unreasonable (particularly with UK winning the SEC tournament). Houston had a great T1/T2 resume with a couple bad losses.
Yep, fair enough. I'm not complaining about our seeding at all, I don't know any other Coog fans in their right mind that are complaining about our seeding as unfair either.
Just trying to understand the logic behind the process is all. I kinda like the media types talking about how we're under-rated, especially the props Kenny Smith gave us during the selection show. That was unexpected and pretty cool.

The thing about Houston is if you just weighted it by the back half of the schedule performance they've been a top 10 type team. They've been climbing in the predictive metrics for a reason. I think the game vs. Michigan might be closer to a coinflip than many believe.

Totally just WSU fans.
We’re gonna have to encourage our players to be more “mean” and call cheerleaders “streetwalkers” in the hallways.

I mean maybe we won't even have to deal with Michigan. Come on Montana! Assuming we take care of SDSU.
Both UM/UH have been playing great ball the last 10-15 games. I will be curious how our staff handles the scouting for the entire weekend. Sampson hasn't coached an NCAA tourney game in 8 years and his coaching staff as a whole is pretty untested. Many times it's the players that get you that first win and then the coaching game-plan with less than 48-hours for the 2nd game.
I am excited to get out of conference and see how all our teams do against teams that don't know you in and out like Cincy and WSU do.

Whew...although honestly, they should have won by at least 6-7. They kept letting them hang around.
