Don't know but however it works out I can only hope Memphis gets a B12 invite.... Not holding my breath though.

We got left behind in CUSA for a decade and then the BE disintegrated before we ever played a game in it.

Oh. My. Lord. This can't be real can it? Aresco jumping with both feet in the kiddie pool? I can hear the collective groan from Memphis, SMU, Temple and USF. With all due respect that is too many teams that water down the conference. This can't be true...

So confused by this from any of the AAC schools' opinion...to me there are just no positives here. Diluted product, even more geographically fragmented, and no good quality products on either revenue sport. Seems like just desperation if true...sad...I am genuinely gutted for all of the conference mates we have.

going to 14 makes no sense,... Unless they are being backed by ESPN...which they most likely are

the aac presidents wouldnt put this many mouths to feed and hurt their own money.. UNLESS they aren't hurting their own money, and this is a play ESPN

Maybe this is one of those leaks to make everyone freak out and then when we just invite 2 or even 4 of this list everyone thinks it looks better. That's all I got at this point LOL.

Only 2 viable borderline candidates... Rice and UAB.

I wouldn't agree. Thompson could have done something 6 months ago and picked up 2 CTZ schools.

Wow I must say I’m shocked at these 6 additions. Also somewhat saddened that Marshall was rejected, I guess the bigger markets simply won out.

you dont aggressively go to 14 if you think your tv money will dwindle...

i think its the opposite..someone at ESPN probably had a vision of a best of the rest conference with major markets and thinks they can build the aac into that. and willing to invest in it
