liberty missing out on even the sunbelt expansion is crazy...despite the long debates here.. they werent even a top 4 option for the sunbelt that can only raid an already raided c-usa

Apparently La Tech has burned a lot of bridges with the Sun Belt folks. Maybe the Sun Belt will be empathetic and throw them a life raft, but I could also see Tech getting the cold shoulder.

LA Tech wont ever get into the Sunbelt. Their history is not good. Theres a few members that wont get back into the Sunbelt either.

If I am the Sunbelt, Id take as many is needed to kill the conference.

There is also a lot of rumors about the MAC getting involved. Lets see who ESPN likes more.

yeah, according to McMurphy's sources, in 2018 sunbelt was the one offering to reorganize.. c-usa rejected.. it is rumored that La tech did not want any part of ULL or ULM.. those 2 schools remember

Thats what so many of us on here were saying. I am all for religious freedom but look how long it took for BYU to be accepted.

People kept saying to bring in Liberty and we all knew that was never happening. They tried to pay CUSA and they said no. Even the Sunbelt wont take them.

Their ONLY hope is that Marshall decides to stay. Then Liberty has a chance at CUSA but from what I have heard, Marshall is leaving.... but where. Sunbelt isnt their only option.

And if the Mountain west was smart they would take UTEP and New Mexico ST. That would leave c-usa with 4 and end the conference. Then the MAC could take WKU and Middle Tennessee. That would leave FIU and La Tech and who knows where they would go.

Liberty wants their football to be Independent. Some have said this.

Looking like CUSA is going to dissolve. The rest of the schools are probably going to have to go the independent route.

Ya, I never bought that considering they offered CUSA $24 million to join. Ill take their actions over board members opinions. That seems to me like they want in a conference.

It maybe, but TV has told MWC they aren't paying anymore so it dilutes revenue shares. Go AAC!!

I’ll put money that CUSA doesn’t dissolve.

Why is everyone thinking that killing the conference is the best option? if i were the Sun Belt, MAC, MW or the AAC i would always want CUSA to exist so there will always be someone weaker and at the bottom. Killing off a conference only puts you one step closer to the bottom. Plus there is no extra money involved....the conferences are only weakening their brands.
