Can't wait to see the ratings for that game. If they're as strong as the attendance, ESPN may think about adding them to the ACC lineup. What kind of ratings does Cincinnati get these days?

It is so dumb that this game hadn't been played in 11 years.
The Big East should never have broken up, IMO.

WVU Pitt was great to watch last night. It's a shame UC Ville went away.

Agree. Even more reason WVU and UC should be in the ACC.

RE: Thursday night games thread
WVU belongs in the ACC playing not only Pitt regularly, but also frequently schools such as VA Tech, UVA, NCSU, Clemson, GT, FSU, Syracuse, and L’ville.
Adding WVU & Cincy to the ACC would be a smart move. Both fit the region very well and have competitive athletic programs.
If the ACC wants to be P3 status, doing nothing until after the SEC and/or BIG make their extractions, is too late.

I've consistently stated for 12 years on this board that UC, UL, WVU and Pitt would make a heck of a quadrant for any conference. Those four were the best football programs in the old Big East from 2005-2012 (WVU left in 2011). The BXII and ACC were short sighted in not grabbing them as a collective group to plant a solid flag in that region of the country (a region where college sports is hot) and setting up several potential games of interest each year - WVU v. Pitt, UC v. UL, UL v. WVU, UC v. WVU, UC v. Pitt, Louisville v. Pitt.

IMO, where WV truly belongs is in a east-coast type conference, along with schools like Penn State, Pitt, Maryland, Navy, Syracuse, VT, Rutgers, Temple and maybe Cincy.
IOWs, something that looks an awful lot like various Big East configurations, but sans Miami and with MD and Penn State.
Of course, that's a pipe-dream, LOL.

This.
The Purdue DB running a pick six back 71 yards for a TD, then being shown puking on the sideline, was classic.
It was literally a Puke 6.

The pressure is on Temple to complete the Pennsylvania trifecta and beat Duke on the road.

I mean that was a thing, and it got picked apart. Just like people are saying Tobacco Road will be picked apart. So if that happens, people will reminisce just the way you are.
IMO, all FBS schools should be independent and schedule what works for them. Have a 16 team playoff and regional standings for sanity's sake. But what's the point of a conference if you don't play everyone?
Leave tight knit conferences for the Olympic sports.
