RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #8
It wasn't pretty, but ACU finally gets the win against the Jacks 34-27 in Nac. As I told them on their board, sorry for wrecking your homecoming, but you guys wrecked our WAC championship. This series is turning out to be epic...

GW smoked our D in the playoffs last year, and that was in Richmond. I'm certainly not taking this one for granted on the road.

I hope you don't. Put the pedal to the metal and hammer down until the final whistle.

Got through with our game and switched over to yours and was shocked. You scored late, but not enough. What is it with GW and you? Are they your kryptonite?

We turned it over 4 times. Offense bogged down after we were up 21-7. Defense got shredded by their run game after that.

Getting turnovers was key in our win over SFA, as well as our defense. In our last several games against the Jacks, our defense cost us the game in the final few minutes. This time, our defense played clean and did what it needed to in order to hold on. Still kinda glad we don't play you guys this year.

Y'all might appreciate this SI piece lol. To be fair the stands looked better during the game.

The Twitter feed for this is crazy. Sam is taking it in the shorts nationally. Announced attendance per the box score was a little over 7500.

I watched that game on TV - it seriously looked like a Jr. High game environment.

So far Sam has been nothing short of a national embarrassment for CUSA. As I've said all along, will all come out in the wash.

Meanwhile, some *official ncaa stats*.....

For crying out loud what do you expect from a Prison town commuter school?

Good friend Sammy checking in. How does it feel being the doormat of the doormat FBS Conference? Asking for a friend who attended Sam from Mon thru Fri but never spent a weekend there?

Can you say Apathy? Positive it fits the students concern for SHSU Sports.

RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #8
Tarleton's stable of young RBs put up over 300 yards rushing to PUNISH Morehead St for our previous two weeks' transgressions. Morehead with their 15th ranked FCS passing game met a Tarleton D-Line that played up to their elite potential. The O-Line bulldogged and pancaked any and everything they could get their mits on. It sure wasn't sexy - just some good ol' fashioned smashmouth football from kickoff to final whistle. It was damn good to see we still have that fire, because we're gonna need every bit of it again this week at UCA! 05-mafia

Let’s not get too excited about beating non scholarship Morehead State.
Pretty sure UCA’s knees aren’t knocking because of it. Can we win one of the last 3 for a winning record? SFA is in a tailspin. Maybe we get that one. We never play well against ACU. UCA probably wins the Conference, don’t see that one as a win without a lot of luck and no turnovers.

I don't think there's a single Tarleton fan that doesn't realize Morehead is no UCA. This past week was all about executing the fundamentals. Body on body, man vs. man execution. Gabalis had ZERO INTs for the first time this season due to us being able to run the ball at will with perfectly executed blocking up front. Just a few weeks ago we couln't even come close to doing that against D2 Southwest Baptist! So yes, the progress is encouraging. I think a dominating performance like that, regardless of opponent, is exactly what the Dr. ordered heading into next week. We beat up UCA pretty good 2 years ago with the same recipe.
