Ah, SFA... Now we will find out what our season will be in retrospect. Lumberjacks are a great rivalry for the Wildcats. Heck, I wish we had more historical rivals in our schedule. Those are fun, win or lose... fun for somebody anyway.

Honestly, I expect EKU and TSU to take care of business. The other 3 games will be very interesting to watch.

The Twitter feed for this is crazy. Sam is taking it in the shorts nationally. Announced attendance per the box score was a little over 7500.

I watched that game on TV - it seriously looked like a Jr. High game environment.
So far Sam has been nothing short of a national embarrassment for CUSA. As I've said all along, will all come out in the wash.
Meanwhile, some *official ncaa stats*.....

Surprised you didn't post the link yourself as much as you like to bag on SHSU.

RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #8
I don't think it reflects on the State. It doesn't affect the Big 12, SEC, AAC, Sun Belt or other CUSA schools in their attendance. Doubt too many look at Sam and say wow, Tarleton can't do it then. They are what we thought they were.
If I were CUSA, I'd direct camera angles on those mid-week games to avoid stuff that. FIU is only a hair better than the Bearkats at home, so they certainly won't travel, even on a Saturday. Giving a shot of the other side was an easy guess for an empty bleachers and the ensuing reaction. Tarleton won't have that same issue. SFA might. The rest of Texas is not terribly concerned.

As bad as it is, I'm really not just talking about the lack of fans. The whole scene is sad. And yes, the rest of Texas (and America) thinks so, too. The sh!t's gone viral. The tattered wood and aluminum stands, the track around the field, the complete and utter lack of enthusiasm in the air....totally looks like a mid-week jr. high game. This might be acceptable for D3 or NAIA, but this is FBS, man!

I agree about the look. I'd be disappointed in the scene were I a SHSU fan. We know Sam is behind in the facilities race and budget is laughably behind. Their record is not helping either. But it reflects on no one but that school. It's gone viral due to Sam's game day presentation. Not anyone else.
The good news for them is the rules changed and what we saw Wednesday is allowed within the new set of rules. Tarleton would have the same crappy game day dilemma and kickoff times if they move up. Will they draw their current average playing on Wednesday's? There will be a hit in some way or another. Probably not at the level, but it will be suppressed. I'd assume Memorial wouldn't look like that, but it will look sparse.
But it still reflects on Sam directly and CUSA to a lesser extent.

GW smoked our D in the playoffs last year, and that was in Richmond. I'm certainly not taking this one for granted on the road.

I vehemently disagree. Being an on-campus stadium that now serves ALCOHOL Memorial would be packed on a weekday night. Especially on a Thirsty Thursday Tarleton would find a way to make a party out of it, guaranteed. I'll say this: the differientating thing about the Tarletons and Sams of the world is that the Tarleton students and alumni LOVE them some Tarleton. It's a unique and special place and they're quite proud of that fact. Texas Tech is the only place I've seen that's quite like it.
