Exactly. As a subscriber to KenPom, I can look back at previous years. And in FACT, last year, the WAC had no teams ranked in the 300s.
Gotcha! I misunderstood the poster. 01-ncaabbs Of course, I did not have much to go on.
However, if my memory is correct, I believe we did have a team (UTRGV) start in the 300s last year. We certainly had none by the end of the year as KenPom clearly demonstrates.

I believe we were in the 300's until we beat San Francisco. Finished int he 290's.

Well done! A great notch on the belt.

They got a nice notch in the belt. Of course y'all got a half-pound gold plated belt buckle.

A great night for the WAC. 7-2, won every game we were "supposed" to win, won or came within one point on the peer-to-peer matchups, and one major P5 upset.

the Mavs were down at halftime. pulled out the win with 2185 in attendance

I'm a little late to the party, but this was the highest attended non-homecoming home opener since 1981.

WacHoopsNation tweeted an email had been sent out to several schools which he wouldn’t name, stating not to call the WAC/CUSA games a challenge. I’m guessing it was sent to the CUSA schools but I don’t know. The FIU announcing crew said they were directed not to call these games a challenge.

ESPN is calling it the WAC/CUSA Challenge so I think we can keep doing it. At least as long as we are winning it.

If the email was sent to CUSA schools how would a fan blog of the WAC know about it? Unless if was through connection with Sam Houston and NMSU. I know TSU is checking in about getting an invite on a regular basis but they could have competition from Missouri St UMass and Delaware. All that to be said WHD doesn't have a reason to lie but I don't think any WAC school would be told to stop to calling it the WAC-CUSA Challenge.

Maybe I’m missing the point of your post.

The reason I knew about this email was I read a Tweet from WHD as I stated in my post. The reason I guessed CUSA schools were sent the email was because the FIU TV crew (CUSA) announced they were directed to not call it a challenge, again as I stated in my original post.

I’m going to call it a challenge every time I post on it.

RE: WAC MEN'S BASKETBALL WEEK #1
Tough blow for Seattle U. After leading the team in scoring, only playing about 2/3rds of the game, transfer John Cristofilis will miss 6-8 weeks with the hand injury he left with (per Seattle Times). Hopefully he returns for most of WAC play.

Dissapointing, to say the least. Once he went out, PVAMU was able to mount a comeback before SU pulled away again.

Seattle U now 2-0 with a close win over Montana State. Ugly game shooting for Cam Tyson, but he still finishes with 18. MSU was picked 7th in Big Sky if I remember right, only brought 1 starter back from last season. But still a win.

Paris Dawson also did not play after he was injured in opener. Not sure how long he will be out with Cristofilis.

Two straight big games for Chatfield and Kobe Williamson
