Maybe we should be the private equity source for Florida State

And what would you do with the Clown school when you had to foreclose on them?

Well ... they DO have an actual circus.

You could put that on the road to recoup your cash.

My thought was that if SMU is like the private equity firms, they will eliminate the non-performing parts of the assets and focus on the best parts.

So..... since Clowns don't make a lot and pay a lot for their education, SMU would eliminate the FSU Clown school.

Why did they fire the coach? On paper, it looks like he's done well. Do they have a big name coach lined up?

Doesn’t like to recruit or use NIL. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet, just not an elite level coach that we are wanting. We waited too long to far our last coach with bad results, we’re not making the same mistake.

Muss or Wade..

And despite the record the team regressed throughout the season and lost many many big late game leads.

In SMU's coaching change announcement, athletic director Rick Hart cites the school's investment in basketball, NIL opportunities and move to the ACC as reasons to make a move. Reading between the lines, would appear they're going to pursue some heavy hitters to win immediately.

Will Wade and SMU. A match made in heaven. Larry Brown and numerous disgraced former SMU football coaches would be proud. What could possibly go wrong?

I thought David Miller did say he wouldn't lose sleep over money. Didn't he say it at the ACC celebration or in those days?

My version of that quote is that Miller said it while meeting with the ACC brass after being told 9 years without TV money would amount to about 200 million. I guess it could have been another of the SMU Board of Billionaires…. Choose one!
