As for the existence of a UAB fan - we've had more Rice and Liberty participation than them. If only their softball team had been less interested this past weekend...

As a WSU fan, so far this season has been a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting some hitting struggles with losing Sydney and Lolo from last years team, but its really been the pitching that's been a problem. Its very hit and miss. Chloe started off dominate against really good competition but as a freshman has now started struggling.

So for WSU fans, its the first year in a little bit where we are already expecting to have to win the AAC tourney to get to the postseason. In recent years we've been in the conversation to even host .. but this year has been rough.

Mean Green have (had) these three in our last four weeks: FAU (current leader), Wichita State (preseason coaches pick), and Charlotte (RPI leader). Memphis is tucked in there this week so hopefully it’s a conference sweep for the Mean Green, but it’s an interesting week - we have a doubleheader on the road, followed by a tilt against Texas A&M before traveling to Memphis…and we did manage to drop a game to UTSA, whose only other wins came against said Tigers.

these games were originally scheduled for last week, but weather cancelled them. it does seem odd to play an away game doubleheader one night and the next night a home match against a ranked team. i guess the coach really wanted to play in commerce.

maybe Coach DeLong has some youngsters he really wants to get some game time for and Commerce is his best shot? Otherwise, no clue why he’d want to take this RPI hit - he should’ve let Mother Nature and Crash Davis have their way with those rainouts last week.

Speaking of RPI, this week has 5 games with teams in the 245 range. Warren Nolan has us dropping at least eighteen spots even if we win all five
