Ok, I'll bite: What's magical about 2028? I have one idea, but I want to see what your reason for that year is....

Penny's contract expires in 2028.

Even Fred Smith has limits.

He's gone far beyond what we should expect from him.

We really to be more appreciative of what he and FedEx have already done and limit how often we turn to him to solve our problems.

Fred is investing money where it needs to be invested, football. BTW none of Silverfield's teams ever mailed it in. Even after close loses he never lost his team.

Ok. I was thinking that would be when Ashton's eligibility would be up, so he would have no kids to have to give minutes to...

Agree. Particularly since we’re not even his alma mater. The amount of support he has provided to the university is astounding.

Yep. Bill Laurie. And he still comes to a bunch of games. Alan Graf moved so we rarely see him. In fact a lot of big boosters left the area. Probably got tired of getting their cars stolen

He’s being mentioned for DePaul

Plus I’d take him drunk over half the coaches that are sober. Put in his contract that he can’t drive

RE: What’s today excuse?
What program would fire any coach who had been building for 5 years, and then has 1 bad season?
Now combine that with the coach being a local legend.
You guys need to get real. Take a break and pick this back up next year if it's bad. If he turns it around, then you can quietly turtle back up under your shells.
