HF1 - I’m not seeing “HC” anywhere in his bio…

I wish he had more experience with a better program or a high profile coach. The above schools are just underwhelming. I hope it works out, but I am afraid he has his hands tied up by Dan. He needs to move some of the existing players out of the program and pull the LOI of the kids that Dan signed.

I hope he wins, but the conditions are not conducive to turning it around.

……from what I’m hearing, Cline is out, Ryan Taylor is in, and CJ is bringing someone in to be his top assistant….

I'd be happy if Corny can just see past the forest of tall skinny white kids. If Dan was a dating app, no one would be happy. They're all the same guy.

RE: MU parting ways with Coach Dan D’Antoni MU parting ways with Coach Dan D’Antoni
The whole conference is getting a front row seat of why we've been sh!t in all sports (that matter) for 20 years and why we will be for the next 100. We don't want to win. We don't want to try. We don't have the drive, vision, and want to to spend even 20 seconds on a coaching search. The MU brass just takes care of their buddies...and does what a few donors want. Some even say the guy we fired (DD) and a few D'Antoni supporting donors are calling the shots on who (CJ) must be DD's successor. If that sounds like insanity (letting the guy you fired pick the next coach)...it's the kind of stuff that happens here at Marshall.

Huntington is the land of 1000 excuses. We can't do this because of this...we shouldn't try here because it's not worth it. Why should we do this when this...and on and on and on. I'm sure we talked ourselves into making the most lazy move as possible (which we ultimately did).

Save this post...we won't win a conference championship in men's basketball or football in the next 30 years. The culture is so toxic and deeply deeply deeply rooted in a way that stunts all progress. This is not hyperbole...we are more concerned with creating a safe space for coaches nobody wants (especially for "Son's of Marshall") than winning championships. It's all about buddies. It's all about friendships. It's all about I'll give you this if you give me this politics. It's all about "I got you bud".

Surely just a placeholder until we can do a legitimate search?

Nope!

We just found out that in addition to being lost in the middle of the desert, the guide we thought was coming to lead us out never got the chance, but our new guide is the blind guy in our group! But - he sure does like to jump up, smile and clap!

uh oh...que the corny joke 02-13-banana07-coffee3

*Grabs the marshmallows for the flame* I liked DD as a person, but let's face it, the game's passed him by..CJ's playing out the rest of his contract and then we'll go from there...
