RE: OT: The Walking Dead
Ok... so since no one else asked... how the hell did Shane and the prisoner kid get turned into Walkers when they were obviously not bitten??? Me and my wife could not figure it out, but we figure maybe the "walker virus" can lay dormant in a person until they die... then it takes over?? Shane got it in the bus when he used his knife to cut his hand and rub it on the bus... then he kills a walker with it... then uses it again to cut his hand again.... But we also learned in season 1 at the CDC that it takes days for someone to become a walker.

I think Glen takes over the Dale role. Not sure why he is pulling away from Maggie though. He has Herschel's blessing and everything. I hope they dont kill Maggie off next week!

In the novels, everyone who is dead and has their brain still intact becomes a zombie regardless of bites. I'm assuming that the writers of the TV show will find some way to quirk it to be more exciting. Think about this...there is a zombie Dale in a shallow grave just yards away from the house.

BTW, think about the psychological implications to the survivors when they learn that no matter what they do they will eventually become zombies. Just saying.

I think that the scientist from the CDC (Jenner) whispered into Rick's ear that the "virus" is airborne, and everyone already has it. It causes you to reanimate after death.

To me, in this world, there are 2 ways to become a Zed:
1. Die as a human (you're already infected and quickly reanimate as a zombie)
2. Get bitten by a zombie

At this time, life seems completely hopeless....which is probably why Rick has kept Jenner's secret for so long. Can you imagine a farm full of people who, no matter what, will become a zombie?

Nah....Dale got shot in the head....to end his suffering. He can't turn as he has a splattered brain.

Wow, what an episode! I don't wanna play spoiler so I'll just say that last night's episode could have been a season finale.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
This is the best show on TV! I am so glad Shane got what he needed for a while; and to have Carl kill him again after Rick did is double justice! Love this show! I was hoping Glenn would invite Maggie to live in the RV with him, and Andrea's time is coming too. Glenn will take over Dale's role, and Andrea will become the Shane-like character.

I think Carol, Hershel, and the rest of his family will perish, but NOT Maggie!
Can't wait till next week!

I think that the effects of Zombie bites and the actual disease are two different things. I'm pretty sure that getting bit by something that has been dead for days or weeks can make you sick. The bite just causes the fever that ends up killing them. The disease is what wakes them back up.

I agree. It could have ended this week, but next week promises to be just as big with the mass zombie attack at the farm. It is almost a sure thing that at least one other main character is not going to make it.

You never actually saw the shot to the head. They made you assume it. Just like they made you assume that Randall was just dead.

Yup. Zombie bites dont make you a zombie. Zombie bites kill you and then you become a zombie because you already have the virus.

Decent point. Touche.

While on the subject of assumptions...Was Carl really gonna shoot Rick, or did he notice background movement we didn't see in the camera frame?

Rick did thank Darrel for what he did. Darrel said it wasn't up to Rick to do all the heavy lifting.

And Darrel sure as **** knows to put him down by shooting the head. Dale will not be rising again, whether they'd have showed the shot or not

Agree next week is looking great and some of the small characters will be gone. I think that Shane and Randall were a sign to all those watching that you didn't have to be bitten to turn into a zombie.

I'm really angry that they consider that little 6 second clip a sneak peak.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I'm predicting the death count at 5 tonight. T-Dogg, Carol, Beth, Jimmy, and one you might not expect....Duane. Yes, Duane. I predict Morgan and Duane make an appearance in tonights episode. The reason? The season began with Rick on top of the hill calling out to Morgan on the radio. If Morgan doesnt make an appearance then there is no reason for that scene.
