Some ODU fans may think that, but there are a good amount that loved the rivalry that was developing. JMU football has a solid fan base and a solid team that would only get better moving up another level. Throw that in with the fact that Harrisonburg is centrally located between Marshall, Charlotte and ODU (not exactly, but close) and I think CUSA has enough of a case for including them.

The only detriment is the media market, but I feel like that card is being overplayed too much.

Another detriment is adding JMU is going to push either MT, WKU, or one of the Florida schools into the west. I don't think any will be all that happy if that happens.

Not unless 2 are added from the east. If JMU joins plus one of ASU or ULL, then the split will still be at UAB. MT and WKU would both stay east.
