RE: Ethics in G'ment
Two years ago my family and I got stranded in Nashville for days due to a snowstorm that hit, where the city was completely unprepared for ensuring the streets and interstates were clear. It was an unmitigated disaster. And noone knew why, because the storm had been accurately predicted for nearly a week as being a potential "big one". The storm arrived about 3 hours early, but the fact that there was no prep done on the streets ahead of time was puzzling. The fact that the people who were to clear the streets couldnt get to work because they were snowed in sounded weird, as they should have already been at work and been prepping the roads.

Ever since this story broke, it made me wonder if those two were shacking up near city hall under the premise of getting prepared for the snow, thinking that it wouldnt hit until mid-day, and they completely missed the fact that the snow came in a few hours early because they were "pre-occupied."
