I was in the Wolfchase mall parking lot in Memphis this past Saturday with 2 of my 4 kids. My oldest 13 and my youngest almost 2. A crowd of obviously ******* teenagers walking in the parking (12-14) screaming and yelling at just about everyone in the parking lot was coming my way. I told my 13 year old daughter to get in the car and quickly put my baby in the car seat and locked the doors. I was worried about an elderly couple across the parking lot and walked in their direction, these punk ass kids surrounded their car and started yelling profanities at them for no reason. I intervened and then they made their way toward me. I lifted my shirt and to their surprise they noticed I was armed. I had called security while i was walking toward my car as I expected trouble. I told the punks to sit on the ground and not move. A few ran off but most sat down. Security came and then the police. All were cuffed and taken away.

I'll have to check the law in your state but in my state brandishing your weapon to gain control of a situation is illegal. They should have cuffed you @ss too.

Cops do it all the time. Are they the only ones allowed to protect themselves?

The difference I believe is that cops carry in plain view while Maximus had his weapon under his shirt. He lifted his shirt to gain advantage of the situation which is a no no. Either use your weapon or don't. If you use it, shoot to kill(don't shoot to wound) and be the first to call 911. You really only want only one side of the story, yours.
