I don't know if it's that I've seen more footage/interviews, but I can't imagine becoming sour on No Man's Sky.

I personally like the idea of not being tied down to "missions" whenever I am on a journey through intergalactic space. I think of the way I play GTA. I just like running around, causing chaos, and exploring. The actual missions are boring to me.

The fact that you will have no idea what or who you will come across at any given time (hell, the developer's don't even know) is pretty exciting to me. Will it live up to the hype for some people? I doubt it, but the developers (particularly the one they have going around pitching it -- Sean Murray) is doing an exceptional job in attempting to manage said hype. So if it doesn't live up to your (not you in particular, BearcatMan, I am just speaking hypothetically) expectations, that is on you.
