Doubtful. As much as I am disappointed in Montgomery's performance to date, he needs to be reassured that his job is safe for at least the upcoming year. He guaranteed a bowl game - if he delivers he earns another year, otherwise I'll consider his guarantee a conditional resignation.

It took him 2 years to win 6 games. Now all of a sudden in just 1 year he is talking about winning 6 games with a bunch of freshmen and sophomore quarterbacks that have no actual game experience and a completely new defensive staff that just came up from FCS?

After replacing the lousy basketball coach and the lousy AD; I think that we can safely state that ECU plans on getting rid of the lousy football coach too. I haven't seen anything out of Mo that warrants another year.
