And this...
One thing we have to remember is that a major difficult task of the "Afterwards" is still forthcoming. If we are to harness this 'goodwill' being offered to the Americans, the re-building process and careful attention to the Iraqis' well-being is absolutely essential after the last shots are fired. Bush, as well as whatever president follows him (the rebuilding of the tools of freedom will take a long time), is responsible to seeing that they are treated well. Lord knows we need an "American-friendly" population in the smack center of the Middle East. If done right, this will benefit everyone.
The U.S. is going to have to walk a very fine line in post-war Iraq between providing enough security to stabilize the situation and make sure that another Saddam doesn't rise up to replace the one we've just gotten rid of, and letting the Iraqis feel that they are in control of their own destiny and that we do not intend to be the authority in Iraq for any longer than necessary. It will be a very difficult balancing act in the days ahead.

Remember how all the flaming liberals in the media were second-guessing the Defense Dept. last week because they weren't moving at "the right pace" when the troops took a 2-3 day break? We were doomed. Dubya got us in over our heads again. Well, we just wiped out an entire country's government in an even 3 weeks while sparing an incredible amount of civilians. How's that for effiency?
Interview with an Iraqi-American citizen who lives in Dearborn, Michigan today on MSNBC: "Those people [the US anti-war protestors] will still be chastising the US gov't for going to war even after seeing how thrilled our people are to be free. They can't or won't understand that this attack was the right thing to do when the majority of us even agree with it now."

Hitler and Bush are completely different. Provide me some evidence before making thoughtless comments like that.

While the push towards Bagdhad has been a huge victory, there is a certain amount of truth to the claim that we were not prepared for a single front war. I think Rumxfield told Franks we wanted to be in Bagdhad asap. Not a good strategy. We did not get the heaviest armour into the battle. Our lines WERE stretched too thin and we exposed ourselves to potential problems. When the sand storms hit, I believe we tightened up our lines and eliminated some serious potential problems. YOU DO NOT leave your rear unprotected, and we were doing that. The (I believe) 4th Cavalry was not even in the battle, and I think they are the heaviest armour we have. I am not a huge fan of Rumsfield, as he believes we need to eliminate the heavy tanks from our battle plans and go to a lighter, quicker attack. In the sesert you can control a lot from the skys, but we may not always fight in that situation. Kosovo is an example where, with many days of low cloud cover, the air war would not play as big a part. Had we not had the heavy tanks, we could not have moved as well as we did. Sorry if this is not very coherent as the coffee has not kicked in.

And what do you think the French, Germans, Russians, and anti-war nuts think of THIS shot?
Iraqis dancing in the streets, celebrating freedom...would've NEVER happened if the radicals had their way.
And how about the Iraqi yelling "Thank you Mr. Bush, we very like Mr. Bush!"
Somewhere, when that was said, Howard Dean fell in a pile of dung.
