Iran supplying arms to the Taliban...
Iran caught red handed
Let's see, so Iran is helping out the Taliban in Afganistan and the militants in Iraq. Does anyone truly believe that they are using their nuclear research for peaceful reasons?

RE: Iran supplying arms to the Taliban...
the 'war on terror' is a bumper sticker slogan, haven't you heard the good news?
the american people need to decide if they want to fight the terrorist or not? We are at war with Iran and have been, the terrorist are their defacto armies which confronting causes democracies a political problem because Joe Blow doesn't get it.......is it in American and world interest for the Mullah's to have nukes and gain more power in the region and over the global economy we are all dependent on? Do we just assume that Iran doesn't really beleive their 13th Imam theology, just saying it for the heck of it?
or is a kumbaya foreign policy the way to go? If so I suggest finding land you can farm yourself and stock up on firewood for the winters and get a few oxen.
the pres. debates should be atleast half about this issue, instead CNN is asking about evolution and abortion on the Rep side and allowing the dems to get away with whitewashing history with Iraq.

RE: Iran supplying arms to the Taliban...
Iran was a much, much larger threat to us and the rest of the world than Iraq is, was, and could ever be.
Ditto with North Korea.
But with that said, we should have finished in Afghanistan first before moving on elsewhere, and that elsewhere probably should have been Iran, not Iraq.

By finished in Afghanistan, am I to assume you mean genocide? We're still there. There is a good collaboration going on between Afghani and American forces.
As for Iran..well, they're kinda surrounded now, ain't they?

By finished in Afghanistan, I mean no more Taliban, a captured Osama, and a weakened Al Quada. Hell, just one of those would have been good.
And a surrounded Iran is not a good thing, IMO. That makes them desperate--with nuclear capabilities, among other things.

You don't think the Taliban and Al Qaeda is serverely weakened in Afghanistan?

The Taliban still exist, and control about a third of Afghanistan. Al Qaeda is stronger overall now than they were previously, due in large part to their using the war in Iraq as a recruiting tool to disillusioned and gullible kids over there.

Come to think of it, it makes sense. Who is this RobertN guy? He sounds smart. Actually, if he were really to understand, it would be "They have a right to have nuclear weapons. Isreal does." But then again, that will draw more wrath from many on this board than the first comment. Afterall, it would be anti-semetic.

Yeah, but if we did that, we never could have taken down the real architect of 9/11-Saddam Hussein.
