Maybe the kids could be big whiney pu$$ies like the twitterers and tuck tail and lose.

Nothing you coould do at the moment we were down 7 in the second half- except rally and win.

And they did.

So F those whiney entitled a$$holes.

Get over it already. The team is playing awful ball and your attacking the messenger will not change that fact. At least they have the balls to speak the truth.

Yes , awful........20 assists on 26 made shots. Over 55 % from the field. ABSOLUTELY terrible. But, don't let the "TRUTH" get in any of you asswipes way.

That crap is fatiguing and played out. I know this team is not great- played just above average in going 10-6 in conference and lost some bad games. I also know it is unlikely they suddently turn into a juggernaut and make the Final Four.

It means that if you use pejorative selfish jackassed words like horrible and hideous and ashamed over a win that you are acting just like our wonderful trolls.

Especially when coming from someone who knows little about sports.

If you choose to argue you are a fan- but you mock and disparage the home team- then you deserve any ******* give backs you get. And if you claim to be a pro- and you use words like hideous and horrible in a game our kids rallied from down 7 to win by 5 and you actually by into that SEC troll we should be ashamed nonsense- you are simply an a$$.

Which- does not m,ean criticsm is unelcome. It is fine. DIsparagement and snark and berating my kids- deserves a F you. Nasal lacks the knowledge- Vernon I have no idea about- and Wolken lacks the fortutude to not be an ******* anymore.

Frankly, I could care less what 4 talking heads think. They don't know anything more about basketball than I do.

Did we play well, no, our defense was just not that good, which lead to Tulane shooting the ball really well. Even so, they shot the ball incredibly well. However, our offense was much improved today. We made a great effort to get the ball to Tarik and we were really, really unselfish.

We still had too many turnovers, a couple by Crawford and JJ absolutely made me cringe. Overall, I'm happy we won at this point. Some of the tweets are huge overreactions. "Fireable offense" ... sheesh, please, we freaking won. That's why twitter is not journalism.

And the 30+ win Fredo-coached teams squeaked out wins over East Carolina, Rice & Marshall. Yeah, on the road, but still common knowledge was that we should have KILLED those teams. To quote Chris Berman, "That's why they play the games."

He tweeted the "Fireable offense" comment when we were down by 7. And if u think barely winning against Tulane is "okay" you underestimate the expectations the "powers at be" have.

Please don't compare that team to this one. The 2008-09 Tigers would steamroll these Tigers.

By the way, the 2008-09 Tigers beat Tulane on senior day by 27 points.

Oh whatever man.

Wolken's hairdo is a fireable offense.

Dan, some hairstyles are "in" for 20 years. Some never at all.

Two weeks ago Wolken said Memphis was the only team worthy of an at-large bid from CUSA... Now in a matter of 14 days the coach is fireable?? Give me a break... Say they played bad, and have played terrible of late, and theres no way in Hell Tulane should've been in the game, fine... But don't discount your own tweets from 2 weeks ago, you're a professional not a mt.org board writer

Why not freaking say Tulane played hard and had a good game.

The "powers to be" probably understand where our program was two years ago after Cal pillaged it. They probably have the ability to be objective about how this season has gone. They probably understand the importance of PATIENCE. They may even have understand how to be reasonable.

If they didn't, I highly suspect they wouldn't be the "powers to be".

Both teams played very well. Anyone that says they didn't needs to pick up a new hobby, cause this one isn't working out for them.

They will be patient as long as we show improvment. Becoming mediocre like the rest of the teams atop CUSA will not evoke patience, it evokes change...

I know its tough when facts are presented instead of "I recall". The fact is, the 2008-09 Tigers blew out Tulane on senior day. You are attempting to suggest that the 2010-11 Tigers are somehow on par with the 2008-09 Tigers and that is ridiculous. The 2008-09 Tigers were far better than this year's team. Even a blind man could see that.

RE: Harsh, Harsh Twitter
Even the so called pros still treat this team as if it had Angel Garcia playing like a 6 10 guy, a healthy Witherspoon and a contributing Kendrick.

They know we do not but the easier tweet is to opine as if we should still play like that might have brought.

By game's end...

Freshman Black had a career day
Freshman Jackson made 3/4 free throws and a hige three (we need to go inside but need to hit some shots to get them off of Black)
Freshman ABarton hit a huge three.
Freshman Crawford hit a huge three.
Freshman Will Barton put up 15 points and other stat fillers.

But we did not blow out Tulane...so the weak pros revert to troll style nonsense.

Analysis...anyone anyone?

Hell- JMS givesmore analysis than those wads can.

Plus- while no one cares what they opine- this is a Memphis message board and their popinions were posted here- so I am not apologizing for poosting reactions- that is what you do here.

Or- I could sit around and mock and bait other posters.

Whooooooot!
