I am not worried about it, Pitino feels we could have a very good team again this year and my focus is on March not July.
We have a lot of talent it just it is now unproven. JMO we have more talent this year than last year but not the experience.

Despite my attempts to take the high road, you won't give up for some reason. Quick answer: He made the Final Four in 92, Elite 8 in '93, Elite 8 in '96, Sweet 16 in 2001. Does that answer your question?

I havent posted many things in this fourm before, but I am offically done. You cant give an opinion because you will be ganged up on by every person who doesnt agree with you. I dont think Louisville is gonna be a top 5 BEAST team. I really dont. I ask for peoples predictions for the upcoming season because that is what I was looking forward to most about UC coming to the BEAST. I am not getting people predictions, I am getting crap from U of L fans who are Thinking they are now the Mecca of athletic programs. Let me tell you something. You are not. You havent even been successful against UC since the beginning of CUSA ( 8 wins 12 losses). Im not Greg Doyle...( oops Im sorry Doyel ) Im not Dick Vitale, and I am not Andy Katz, but either are you. I am just an average Basketball fan with opinions. I joined this fourm to have disscussions with other people. That hasnt happened. So I guess I will agree with you since I am so stupid. Louisville will win the BEAST in there first year because they are far to superior for everybody else. Dean will be player of the year and go #1 in the NBA draft. The cardinal football team will win the national championship and make the big east proud. there you happy now? you got what you wanted. They should change the name of the big east to The Louisville Conference. Since Louisville is unbeatable
Quick question though, is Huggins ever going to get UC past the 2nd Rd?
Hey Pitinoville, that is wore out bigtime. you need new material. Bearcatfan4life-Thanks for having my back, But Im done. some of these guys need to get a life. Big time. Im done forever on here. See ya

Now we have a crying Bearcat when he is being challenged on his OPINION. Grow a thicker skin my friend. Huggins won against Crum, what is his record against Pitino, let just say it is not a winning record and what is the overall series between UofL and UC, you are on the short end on that as well. Only UConn and Georgetown have All Time Winning Records against Louisville in basketball and UConn is 1-0 against the Cards.
BTW not many UofL fans feel we will win the Big East this year, that belongs to the Preseason Favorites UConn and Villanova. But we will not finish 7th either barring a major injury, now that was a dumb prediction.
BTW you had the Bearcats way too low as well.

UCBcat83, this message board is all in good fun. I went back and reread your post and apologize. I took that the wrong way. It seems as if you were smacking UofL which you were not. Im just saying that with Pitino as head coach plus the fact that we return some very talented players (Dean, Palacious, Jenkins, Johnson, etc) I think we will be right there competing for the Big East Crown (as will Cincy IMO). Looking forward to some more great battles between the Cards and Bearcats.

Since I was also involved in this argument, I accept your apology, and I respect you for saying what you did. I also want to apologize for any harsh things I might have said to you or any other UL fans. Sometimes things gets heated on these message boards, and I say things that I don't mean. I think we'll both have very good years, and represent the Big East very well. I also look forward to a continuation of the great rivalry between UC and Louisville.

Apology accepted, now we can move on, and show the rest of the country that we can compete at a high level in football, and that we'll do just fine with the big boys of the Big East in both basketball and football. I'm sure you guys have no concerns in football, but there are some doubters out there regarding UC football. Take today's article in the Louisville Courier Journal:
Quote:And Cincinnati is, well, Bob Huggins University. The Bearcats were invited for hoops. They'll be tolerated in football.
<a href='http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050730/COLUMNISTS01/507300424/1002/SPORTS' target='_blank'>http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.d...424/1002/SPORTS</a>
We'll show 'em!!

I have to say that i am happy to see some very mature fans on this board. Its good that individuals can be man (or woman) enough to admit a mistake and go on.
UCBcat83; I hope you can get past this and continue posting here. I liked your contributions to this board.
I see it this way;
Villanova
Uconn
Louisville
Cuse
Georgetown
WV
Pitt
Cincy
My opinion of course.

UofL and UC will have very solid year in Big East. We are as good as anybody else. UC's problem is this whole Huggins thing that is hanging over the school like a dark cloud.
Go Bearcats!!
Go UofL!
Go Big East!
