Yeah, because UCF has earned the right to post things like an empty trophy case when we've actually won as much as anybody overall in Conference USA, own nine commissioner's cups from the Sun Belt (oh, and own a 17-4 record over your basketball team). Watch out for the fall when you try to step off that high horse...

That was in direct response to a SMACK thread.

And it's probably no suprise that USF won't play UCF anymore in basketball, seeing our team has been significantly better the past 3 years and will continue to be better.

You do the same - the A-Sun doesn't hold a candle to C-USA...

Oh, and we beat you 3 years ago and our former coach insisted we get you off our schedule because you were dragging our RPI down. I guess that you weren't "significantly better" 3 years ago, and just because you won that fluff you call the Atlantic 10 doesn't mean you were "significantly better" in either of the last two years. How many ranked teams did you beat in that time? USF managed to beat two in the closing weeks of this past season. I feel comfortable that we could have handled the A-Sun tournament champs, even if we'd played in your garage...

Envious of the state of your atheletic programs - NO WAY!. Jealous about the spot you got in the NBE - HELL YES!. But the UofM will do the best with what they have been handed; which is what they have always done and will continue do.

Maybe.

I don't recall any bundles of millions of dollars that Memphis has been given as a free gift lately. Doing absolutely nothing on the football field, basketball court or at the ticket booth and receiving a ticket to the big table is an amazing accomplishment for USF. Most folks have to pay the price.

Memphis football was terrible for 25 years, while USF is a program on the move. It's not our fault you guys sucked for a quarter of a century. BTW, if you could not figure out the BE expansion was about football then you probably believed RC ******* when he said that the Big East was not going to expand into Florida.


Oh btw....if we payed our basketball players as much as that sleazeball you have for a coach we would could also strive to be NIT champions....not!

Sure.....this is probably a bad example but here goes:

When the old SWC disbanded the biggest loser in the deal was Houston. The Cougars had Top 10 finishes in football and won a national championship in hoops. When they were left out of the Big12 their program crumbled. The same thing is going to happen to Memphis except that the fall to the gutter is not going to be that far.

Memphis has gone to 2 bowls in the past 2 years, averaged over 40,000 in attendance, has a heisman trophy candidate this year, and is ranked in the top 30 pre season polls for many pollsters.

But, USF is the team on the move?????

It looks like you have a stadium with a pirate ship and a 30% inflated attendance report. And that's it.

And Memphis beat your @ss last year.
