I don't want to see a rematch, but Bama is 100 times better than OSU. Bama's O-Line would shred that 107th ranked defense into shards of confetti. As for OSU's "awesome" O-Line, Bama's defense would shut Weeden down just as Georgia shut Colt Brennan down in the Sugar Bowl. That was a high-scoring and highly touted QB and O-Line too. ...until UGA sacked his ass 15 times.

If we had a playoff and UAT earned an at large bid and played their way into the title game, it would be perfectly okay. Instead, they were rewarded for losing to LSU the first time by not having to play an extra game, then being appointed to the BCS title game without having to do jack ****. I hate it when $EC blowhards make idiotic comments like "Every game is a playoff." If so, UAT was eliminated already. There are no mulligans in a playoff. And does that mean Georgia Southern was a quarterfinal game?

Not surprisingly, they don't have much of a response for that one.

The BCS and its proponents keep claiming "Every Game Counts". It's even their twitter handle (@EveryGameCounts).

Every game counts... except that one last month between LSU and UA in Tuscaloosa. That one doesn't count. Forget that one happened.

There are no doubts in your mind that Alabama is the superior team. I tend to think they are myself...

But until it's proven on the field, it isn't a fact. It's just speculation...

Losing a game almost (but didn't) cost them a chance to be appointed by voters to play in a title game against a team that they already lost to. How terribly unfair for them.

I was smart enough to not watch it the first time, so no, I'm not watching the rematch.

I'll watch it. What else will there be to do?

And how exactly did OSU benefit from playing in a (perceived) weaker conference (even though computer rankings disagree)? If they played in the $EC they would have had the benefit of (probably) losing to LSU, which clearly qualifies you to be appointed to the title game. OSU has three wins against the current Top 25. Bama only has three wins against FBS teams with winning records period. Some stacked schedule. They didn't even have to play the two best teams from the East, and lost to the best team in the West.
