TopCoog, You would think another school in Georgia, South Carolina, & Virginia would step up to D1a football. Georgia has a ton of recruits & only two D1a schools. Same goes for South Carolina & Virginia. I would love to see a D1a conference with Marshall, ECU, Richmond, UNC-Charlotte since they are on the South Carolina border, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Central Florida, UAB, SoMiss, Memphis, Tulane, & another Florida school. That would require Richmond, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, & the Florida school to step up to D1a football. That conference would be the SEC light. You could have a north/south split. ECU, Richmond, Marshall, Charlotte, Georgia State, & Georgia Southern in the north and the rest in the south. That would be a decent football/basketball conference. In the end, it's all about the BCS. If ECU or any Non-BCS school gets a chance, they would be foolish not to jump.
