Surprised we haven't had a thread update this. The "W" on the walker and the "A" stamp are connected and what about Carol and the kid.

Maybe I am giving the show too much credit, but I thought the A was a nod to the Scarlett Letter, considering Rick has his eyes on Jesse, whose married.

I thought the A was for Alexandria.

Yeah, when the kid gave him the stamp he said something along the lines of your apart of us now (meaning Alexandria) or something like that. The W carved into their heads connects the Wolves who killed Noah's group in Richmond. Remember all of the bodies that fell out of the truck had W's carved into their heads as well.

I haven't read the comics so this may not be the case, but I get the feeling Rick is going to ruin this place just to get laid

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I think it's interesting how Rick's thinking has changed. He used to be fairly idealistic. The old Rick of season one would have been a solid supporter of this new community and its leadership. Now his thinking more closely mirrors his old deputy Shane Walsh, who Rick was constantly at odds with during the first few seasons.

I also thought the cocktail party showed how deeply damaged the whole group is. They can barely function in a traditional social setting anymore. They look like a case study in PTSD.

I think Rick is going to become the bad guy and Darrell will be the new hero.

I think the group will be split between the Paranoids and the Gullibles, and Rick and Darrell will be on opposite sides when push comes to shove.

Interesting thought. The thing I have liked most about this series is that unlike typical network serialized programming---The Walking Dead has always been willing to kill off major characters. There are a few other shows that do that---but its rare in traditional network shows. Cable shows have been more apt to do this (Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy immediately come to mind as examples). The uncertainty of cast continuity makes shows much more unpredictable and enjoyable.

By the way, apparently a new "prequel" Walking Dead series is on its way from AMC. It will be set in LA around the time of the initial zombie outbreak. Sounds like Walking Dead meets World War Z.

The Scarlet Letter was the first thing I thought of as well when seeing the "A". Rick Grimes is gonna honey badger that girl back to his house.

Eugene is more of a badass than any of the Alexandria folks.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I became a fan of Glenn after tonight's episode. Sad to see Noah die, I had begun to like him again the past couple episodes.

Btw, is it me, or are they getting more and more ****ed up with the way they're killing people? Like making Glenn watch Noah die right there, like inches away? Brutal. The way the other dude died kind of sucked too, I was expecting Glenn to just shoot him so he wouldn't have to live through getting eaten.

The show has been around longer than most shows these days. Hard to keep pushing the envelope without going to extreme.

I'm thinking Gabriel is going to find himself outside the walls far from safety tied to a tree where no one can hear him scream for help when the walkers come. I now wonder if he judged those at his church as well, probably not so much on moral standards as a threat to his own survival, they were eating the food he needed.

The last 2 episodes have set up an action packed 90 minute season finale.
