Water seems to be a good option.....head out to sea but you have to fight rogue waves, storms & so on. Much better than walkers & other crazy humans.
I have oftwn wondered if there are US ships & subs just sitting out @ sea trying to figure out how to deal with the zombies.
While im not a survival nut or anything like that i keep 6 weeks worth of dry goods @ all times. If no power or anything like that my family wont starve. I also keep 3 days worth of water & mre's in my jeep....... Just in case.
the problem with having 6 weeks worth of stuff is that it is useless unless you are in a position that can be defended. If not, you can only carry so much on your retreat.
defendible position yes......also have about half ready for evac @ anytime. i was hoping that the mayans were right, just so i could use some of the stuff i have. LOL

Don't be pissy.

What other type of tv shows do you all like? I am looking for reccomencations. I like Grimm, the Americans, Homeland, Breaking Bad and Shameless. Shows that were canceled: V, the Event, Flash Forward, Crusoe and Chase. And of course Terminator: Sara Connors Chronicle

Schools are also serious landmarks for an area. Everybody's gonna be thinking it and being in close quarters with the amount of people who are going to attempt to stay there is dangerous.

I would look for something like the San Antonio Riverwalk. I would get across the bridges and walkways with a large contingent of capable people. As soon as I get across I am blowing the bridges and walkways. There are restaraunts, hotels, alcohol, etc., If I cannot get from Mississippi to Texas..... I would steal a back hoe and dig a moat around a my house with nothing but spears sticking up.

It's at the bottom. I don't particularly like it, but can't stop watching it.
And I forgot the Americans, which is probably in my Top three or four and may move higher. Awesome show.
The Americans is quality.

At some point the dead would pile up on one another as they impale themselves, so that could be a problem. Other than that, good thinking LOL.
I believe in strategically hiding food, water and ammo at undisclosed locations then embarking on my travels... in a fortified dump truck. The "dump" portion of my pimped-out ride would serve as my living quarters and would serve me well when defending against both human and zombie attacks (with the high walls and all). Gas would be a problem however and I have not come up with a way to handle that yet.
Seriously, although many give "preppers" a hard time and think that they're nuts, it does make sense to have at least a few weeks-worth of food, water and other necessities stored in case of emergency. "Down East", we have to think about that stuff; hurricanes have caused some of us to be without power for long periods of time in the past and I'm sure that they will again. There are parts of NC where you could literally go for weeks without help in a scenario like that. It never hurts to be prepared.
We need to figure out a way to turn the tables on the zombies and use them for our benefit. If I can figure out a way to convert their rotting flesh into fuel, I might be on to something.

I've heard good things about The Americans but haven't gotten to check out a episode yet. I know a guy I graduated high school with had a role in the first episode. Has anyone watched Game of Thrones? I've been told its pretty awesome.

There's a Game of Thrones thread that's sitting dormant for the next couple of weeks.
