You said "most" New Big East schools. Thats one. If you would have said Rutgers no one would argue. Then again Rice has played in the WAC and Rutgers has played in the Big East. USF and UC well they have played in CUSA. Both are tougher leagues than the WAC, wouldn't you agree.

I agree Jim....but its close enough. I just don't hear the negativity toward the other programs I am hearing here about Rice. In 55 games they are just a handful off Cincy and USF...not much difference.

Coog, you are the one spinning. Let me post this again for you.

Since 2000,

Rice is 8 under .500
USF is 14 above .500

How is that close over the course of a little less than 5 seasons?

If we assume they all played 55 games over that span then there records would be (as close as you can get to 55):

Rice: 23-31
USF: 34-20

How an 11 win difference over >5 years is close is beyond me.

Plus you are picking the teams with the worst record. Show me one league that has every team with a winning record over the last 5 seasons. Someone HAS to lose. The fact that Rice has been worse than 7 of the 8 NBE teams seems to escape you.

Oh and SMU is 33 games under .500 since 2000, making even Rugters look awesome.
