Just curious, is there any reason we never play you guys that y'all know of?

I don't even want to imagine the reaction if we lose to Campbell and start 0-3. Problem is with what I saw out of our bullpen I have zero faith in any of them.

ODU has announced our midweek game against ECU on March 6th is "Sink the Pirates" day with free T-shirts for students.

Will this attract any additional attendees? I doubt it.

Well this is looking like the last season people will have to call for Godwin to be fired.

UAB tapped into some magic last year, hoping they can do so again this year, before they get to the tournament.

Sooooo we beat a one win Illinois team and a one win Boston College team and ECU fans are all happy and proud again. Why? Because we beat two terrible teams? We're at a point where we should be beating Virginia and NOT losing to Campbell.

Pirates 5-1 over NMSU. Even record at 3-3.

Illinois now 4-3 after going 3-1 in the tournament. we handed them their only loss.

They play 4 and we played 3. How does that even make sense?

There isn't a team in the classic that's going to sniff an at large birth in a regional. I'm thrilled we won 3 straight. Despite my feeling that Godwin deserves to be gone I would love for him to prove me wrong and earn an extension after this season. However, we are going to have to beat someone who is actually a regional caliber program before I start believing this season is really and truly going to be any different than the last 3.

Last year, New Mexico State won 35 games, shared the WAC regular season crown, and got an at large bid into the tournament. Also, they were the only team to win a series vs. national champion Arizona, winning 2 games in Tuscon. Now, I have no idea what sorta club they have this season. But I think it's a tad premature to say any of the teams that played here this weekend won't sniff an at large birth in a regional.
