I think the butt ripping was actually within the context of the conversation. They were talking about who would leave or stay.Parrish said TB should be thankful that Josh still wants him after he walked out on the team and behaved like a d head.He also stated that Tarik should produce more for his size and that he's not that good.

Did he mention that Black was second on the team in rebounds per game and second in field goal percentage made? Did he state that he will graduate early? Did he comment that Black has stayed out of major trouble and by all public accounts is a good citizen? Did he recall that Black had other options besides Memphis out of high school but choose to play for his hometown? Did he say that Black helped win many games over the years? Indeed, did he submit any positive contributions made by Black at all in any area?

You seriously think that Tarik's play has been acceptable?

You call everyone on our team out starting with the coach.....some ass on the radio just happen to agree with you. I have never seen you say one good thing about any Tiger, not one.

So, you disagree? You feel that Tarik has played well and lived up to his potential? Although, I'm beginning to wonder if his potential is even what we thought it was. I think sometimes we see somebody his size and just assume that he should play well. Don't take into account the actual skill level or desire.

We all watch these games...has Tarik's overall game gotten NOTICEABLY better in his 3 years here? No. Easterwood said it on the air today, he's basically a "big body". He doesn't rebound. He doesn't defend. He fouls. And on top of it all...let's remember he darn near quit on the team half way through the season. Parrish was spot on with what he said, like him or not.

Let em walk.

DJ also almost quit the team. People were pretty tough on Joe and Tarik when they considered leaving. DJ's flirtations with leaving were turned into a triumph. Yeah, his knees and all that were a factor, but he has repeatedly stated that his lack of PT was a major factor.

If Tarik chooses to leave, it would be a shame, but how hard would it really be to go out and get a guy capable of playing power forward who isn't a good at rebounding, defending, scoring or making free throws? For the majority of his time here he's just been a body and has gotten lit up by a lot of guys in C-USA who just simply play harder.

It's been three years --- after a while, I think, some people might come around to the idea that a guy isn't the level of player they dreamed about. As far as the others --- whose fault is that?

Wasn't Stan Simpson supposed to be one of those guys? And Hipp?

Exactly. It's not like he's killed it in one year and then came back the next season and played terrible. Year 1 sets the standard on 'what he can do'. However -- Tarik has never played like he's All World. But his play has helped the team and he does good work when in the games IMO.

What about now? (JJ 7 rebs at the half, Blazk with zero)
I'll say this, he sounded real confident and even cocky. Dorsey vs Oden itus?

RE: Parrish tearing up black on radio
When comparing Memphis bigs vs M.State's bigs, Decourcy marveled at M.State's bigs footwork, technique and power...... yet all he could muster about Memphis' bigs was that they were a big body (he nailed it w/Shaq reaching alot and Black being easily moved out off his position).

Decourcy also knew we had no chance other than via our guards. Who wins titles at this level with just guards???? (hence my frustration with our bigs)

I've always hoped your posts would get better --- that they'd become better reasoned - and made more sense. I've always hoped this even though your posts have remained mostly bad all of these years. You need to quit sounding like you fell out of a giant bag of shook up dumba$$. Even though you've sounded this way for years now I still don't understand. I mean that can't be the reality? Why? Well your "potential" and all that --

Please......can we just stay on the POSITIVE side of this dialog?

I agree it is up to Tarik to perform. Ok ---fer criminy sakes! Simple!

Leave it at that. "I told you guys....." and "He shoulda blah, blah, blah.......", and "He never did this or that"
mean NOTHING to any discussion that will end well with any, and all, players.

Once again.......JMHO.

you realize this was in reference to the fact that Keith and Gary were saying he was probably transferring and no longer a Tiger, right?

Gary was standing up for Josh, and probably delivering a message for him.
