I know nobody wants another Bama v. Notre Dame. So FSU gets to embarrass OSU. FSU v. Auburn should be the champ game.
How does anybody really know FSU and Auburn are better than Ohio State? The games are never played on the field, so we don't. And what does the SEC winning 7 straight titles have to do with this year? The SEC has not been nearly as dominant in those title games as people would like us to believe.

I hate them to, and I could see them getting jumped. But, they could not be jumped by a team with a loss. But, part of me would actually love to see it just to here the bitching about the system they created.
To me, one loss in the SEC in better than undefeated in the Big 11. Lets be honest, the Big 11 blows ass. OSU would be a 3-5 loss team in the SEC.
Unlikely. Maybe two losses.

Cause the polls are unbias...
They're even biased within the SEC. Missouri is 11-1 with an overtime loss at #7 South Carolina and they stay at #5. Alabama loses to Auburn and only falls to #4.
This leaves the door open for Alabama to once again return to the national championship game. If OSU loses to a very good Michigan State team and FSU is upset by Duke, Alabama will play the winner of Auburn-Missouri for all the marbles.
I am glad that this is the final season of the BCS so that we can move on to a playoff. It's only a hop, skip and a jump from a bogus playoff to a true playoff. Hopefully, we'll get there in my lifetime.

Networks would much rather have OSU than Auburn - much larger fan base and money $ for them

The TV ratings if that happens will be even lower than when Bama got a mulligan and played LSU for the NC. Networks will do everything possible to prevent that.

Why the hell are there 3 SEC teams in the top 5 and an undefeated NIU team in in the middle of the poll? Seriously top 3 should be FSU, OSU, NIU in that order.

The only way Bama gets in is the above described scenario, if Mizzou beats Auburn, they'll jump Bama.

RE: OT - What are the odds Auburn jumps OSU?
Admittedly, neither team has an OOC to write home about, save for Auburn's one lone venture out of their comfort zone to play Clemson. Most people know how I feel about the BCS, it's a screwjob system of selection, one that "Updyke Nation" (alabama) benefitted from a couple of seasons ago, despite not even winning their division, let alone their conference, they were still chosen to play in the mythical national championship game against a team that had already beaten them in regular season, in THEIR place! LSU was technically speaking, punished for winning and had to keep winning to just hold their spot in the rankings. It de-valued earning a vaild position by winning your conference outright, and by only dropping them from 1st to 4, they're giving the "Updykes" a remote chance of creeping back into the mythical national title picture, they're so hoping for meltdowns by Auburn & Florida State. Auburn should be number 2, IMO, like Mark May said last night, their overall "body of work" is far more impressive than Ohio Stink, who had to battle to the bitter end against the Zips of Akron, who had to count on a screwjob spot by a homer official in the Northwestern game, and an incompetent, absolutely STOOOOPID decision by Brady "birdbrain" Hoke to go for two in the final seconds of regulation instead of taking the chance with overtime yesterday. Can't wait to see the bogus rankings this evening, Auburn's gonna get screwed like they did in 2004..

I don't think that an Auburn team that has lost to Louisiana State should be ranked higher than an unbeaten Ohio State team that pulled out wins over LSU-caliber opponents. 100% is better than 91.7%.

LSU caliber opponents?
Maybe Wisconsin.
And tOSU doesn't have a win in the same stratosphere as Auburns win over Bama.

They got the job done every week of the season unlike every other team not named FSU and OSU.

That just about sums it up.
I would say so. They have done the best of any other team in the country, save Florida State and Ohio State. You can debate whether or not they'll be able to compete but the fact of the matter is they are undefeated, which is more than Auburn can say...
And plus - that's not even saying anything about Jordan Lynch, who has been phenomenal this year as always...

RE: OT - What are the odds Auburn jumps OSU?
Anyone who thinks NIU should be 3rd in the country is disqualified from being taken seriously. The Huskies are a very good team and Lynch is fantastic, but they are not a top 3 team. I wish we had a playoff system that they could be included in, but a G5 team will never be considered for the 4 team playoff, let alone the current system, nor should they be.
