It's amazing how many "experts" there are on what the B12 should do, and not one of them has any association to the B12.

UCF hasn't even sold 5,000 tickets to the Fiesta Bowl.

It would take a miracle of having Florida State and Miami leaving the ACC to have them consider UCF. And if that were to happen, the Big 12 would probably lose UCF anyway if they were already in the conference.

Give UCF some time to grow and convert some of that potential into results and see what happens. Who knows what else could happen while you wait.

Why won't the Big 10 grab UCF?

I understand UCF is not AAU but other than that it gives the Big 10 a shot into Florida. UCF is a huge university with great market, which the Big 10 and its conference network wants in spades.

I think the Big 12 needs to add UCF before Delany and FOX start figuring out how UCF may be an added benefit to their conference.

Spot on. Remind me again how much TV money the aac generates with UCF, uh and cincy as league partners?

Because its not a football king. For a non-AAU school to get into the Big Ten, its going to have to be a football king to justify fighting the academic snobs, or else a school considered "good enough" to be able to get by the academic snobs, like Notre Dame.

04-cheers Honestly it gets old but until the Big 12 dies, we will have fans that constantly beg for conference inclusion despite the fact that we don't want them or need them.

I would say over 75% of us have a former Big 12 team (or 2) in our conference of choice. Does that count?

The reason there's a realignment board in the first place is because I got so tired of seeing all the expansion talk on the old Big East board. So they created it to shut me up. It's like a non stop commercial channel for wannabees.

About the same as Texas Tech (if added to the AAC) when they don't get to play the real big dogs in the B12.

If the Big Ten wanted to get into the state of Florida, they'd have taken Florida State when they were available. Unlike the Big 12, the Big Ten has far fewer spots available and they have to be selective with the next schools they invite. They allowed themselves to take Rutgers and, to a lesser extent, Maryland based on potential. I would have to imagine they want some more proven elite schools in the next wave. UCF has a long way to go in many areas to be invited to the Big Ten but given enough time and the perfect circumstances it could happen, though extremely unlikely.

It is great that TV was good this year, but lets face it there was a good story to sell.

As for the B12, they don't need anyone as of today. I think long term they do need to get bigger again, simply because there is safety in #s. If the BE in 2005 or 6 would have looked past the short term and added 2 or 4 they would have been much better off when the raids came.

UCF "next on deck" for P5 based on TV Viewership for 2013
Just a note on Big 12 and Pac 12 ratings- they are artificially low due to two factors:
1- Fox an FS1 aren't really established in most viewers minds as well as ABC/ESPN outlets
2- Third tier networks like LHN or P12Network aren't as widely distributed.

UCF has done well and I would not be opposed to them being added but lets put the numbers in the proper context.

I still think Texas and Oklahoma will bolt at some point. The Big 12 has to be proactive. Having 10 teams is dangerous these days.

They need to get the directional designation out of their name for sure. Change to the University of Orlando.

The "Orlando Knights" does have a nice ring to it. It sounds like it could either be a bad 80's straight-to-video movie, a "Cops" spinoff or a Cinemax Friday After Dark hump fest.

On second thought, stick with winning and with UCF. To hell with those who don't like it... (us directionals have to stick together)

Care to compare our Tier 3 TV deal compared to your Tier 1 TV deal? We make more and its only 1 football game against against a scrub.

I have no problems with UCF. If you guys can add another 20mm to our TV deal, then I hope we are writing up the invite.

I seriously doubt that the Big 12 would be dumb enough to make a membership decision based on one year's TV ratings.
