Our camp is closed so no one really knows. Our biggest concern is getting healthy. Then getting Jucos ready to play in the fall. The most important thing, is we have a new coach. That means we're about to stomp a mud hole in all of you, then walk it dry. 03-woohoo

Hoping our new/upgraded OL can block for Carden.

Y'all run the ball? And i mean besides being up by 14+ with 5 minutes to go. Don't see why replacing a RB is that big of a deal in such a pass oriented offense.

We do have a QB battle between Quez and Hankerson. The team has responded well to Coach Partridge from all accounts.

That's what got you off to a bad start last year. Go with Quez and call it a day.

Quez did lose 15 pounds, which should make him even more agile, as crazy as that sounds. But it seems like the year under Henkerson's belt has really helped. From what I've heard out of camp and amongst the players, he's no joke. He has a legitimate shot to be the #1 come August.

I would think really hard about benching a guy that led you to 4 straight wins to end last season. I was impressed with the kid.

I hope we've got a good quarterback. The returners look good so far, and I've seen some very nice plays already in the spring camp.

RE: So how is everyone feeling about their football teams?
For the last couple of years some time around this point of the offseason, I've thought that we'd be good enough to at least make a bowl. Then 3-9 and 2-10 happened. So, this year, I'm aiming for 0-12 and anything better than that is gravy.

Honestly, the one thing I don't understand is that Kugler seems to want to build a Stanford-style smash mouth offense. But, one of his first moves here was to get Jameill Showers to transfer from aTm. I just don't think he's a great fit for the offense. He'd be much more effective in the spread that everyone runs now-a-days. I'm not sure what the QB situation in College Station is this year. I'm happy we have him, but I can't help but wonder is he would have been better off staying at aTm.

The Eagles have a shot at 3-4 wins, but still need to rebuild through recruiting. Bad news is we lost most of the real difference makers in our recruiting class at the very end. Marshall is indeed loaded, but cup cake schedule will keep them out of chance to make noise for CUSA on the national scene.

Typical. D is ahead of O in the spring. Still concerns about depth and getting the JC transfers up to speed. Only concern on O is the line and the new guys and if they can step up. Sadly if the O line doesn't hold the rest is useless. The D is still a coin flip. As long as we show improvement we're moving in the right direction.

EP Times articles on spring practice indicate that Kugler plans to have more down field plays this year including some 3 WR sets, which is quite different from last year. He wants to loosen up defenses which stacked the line much of last year when everyone knew we were going to run. It's kind of ironic that our top receiver transferred to BYU for his last season.

Indeed. Sort of like war. All battle plans are perfect until the first shot is fired. Good luck this year.04-cheers

Thanks. Our team could use some good luck, some good players and some good coaches. I'd wish you luck in return but with the team you guys have coming back I don't think you need the luck factor.

ODU will be anywhere from occasionally competitive to downright surprising based on the play of the offensive line. Right now it is a major liability but there is reason to believe it could be a strength months from now. ODU has weapons and a capable QB, if given time they should surprise a few.

O-line and Special Teams are the primary area of concern.

Losing almost all the starters on defense is most likely the top concern for all of us WKU fans.

I think some of that is coach speak. Ive heard the off season in the weight room has been good.
Also we got some great news today that the ncaa has given Alan Howze his redshirt year back. I feel better about our defense with him on the field.

I feel the same as how one of the guys on the Hindenburg felt when it "landed" in New Jersey.

ECU fans tell us we will be fine. USF fans tell us we are entering a special place in hell. I'm leaning towards the Bulls.

National championship or I'm dropping out. to live a life of homelessness. I'll move to Britain and bet everything I have on a poker game, in which my Polish counterpart wages tickets for this boat ride back to America. I'll win the poker game and hopefully bang a hot rich ginger chick on said boat ride. I honestly don't see what can go wrong.
