RE: Open Thread - Week 1
Argh! Too much running room for Ohio State QB. Another 3rd & long converted without passing.

So why not include vt in the big boy group, historically speaking? Much more relevant than Miami for the last decade.
Looks like vt got its head out of its butt.

Hokies' O-Line starting to get some push up the middle. OSU must miss having Bosa in the DL rotation.

There's some truth there. VT has crapped the bed so many times I think I just forgot about them.

VT passing game is just a step off tonight.
Didn't expect to get a special teams gift from an Urban Meyer team, though!

Let's hope it stays that way. They already ran out of clean up towels in Bristol, CT from the first 5 minutes.

To Louisville fans, let me call out Frank Beamer for calling timeout too soon (21 seconds left in the half)

OSU had a good game plan, and it showed in the first quarter.
However, I think the suspended players are starting to show as the game wears on - the missing depth could be a fatigue factor in the 2nd half especially.
Also, people don't realize what an extra 1,000 feet of elevation does to you when you run around for a couple of hours (Pitt fans know, but most stadiums are at much lower elevation).
Elevation:
Columbus, OH.......781 ft
Pittsburgh, PA...1,401 ft
Blacksburg, VA...2,080 ft

VT defense is good enough to give them a chance to win most games. Unfortunately, Loeffler is awful and probably won't take advantage very often.
