A lot of JMU fans seem to be picking W&M to win this weekend. They are thinking this will either be a close game that JMU wins or a blowout win by W&M.

I'm not seeing a blowout by either team. 2 good teams, I think it will be a very close, physical game with perhaps a turnover being the difference somewhere along the way.

I've always been a believer that close games seem to even out over the season. We have been in 2 close games that went down to the last possession where a stop or a score would have won the game for us - and we lost both. So W&M is 0-2 in close games this year.

JMU has been in 1 game that was decided at the wire (SMU) and they won that game. If you discount UR as a down-to-the-wire game (it was close, but wasn't decided on the final possession - it was a 10 point game), then JMU is 1-0.

I predict a close win by the Tribe, with a turnover somewhere along the way being the difference in our favor.

I hate JMU. Period.

Good to see Dedmon and Jones on the two deep for this week after both left the game with injuries.

Looks like Hart is good to go too. Need everyone, you never know when and who will be called on to contribute.

Vad Lee was always going to be out against us but he had season ending surgery today according to the JMU board (referencing Withers tweet). Tough luck for what seemed to be a good guy. Schor looked good in his absence so our guys cannot let down.

JMU offense looked good with Shor running it last week. JMU is going to be gunning for bear after last week.

W&M needs to come prepared. This game will be a tough win, if we're ready and a loss if we're not.

I still hate JMU.

Weirdly W&M is terrible the last 3 years in games decided by a TD or less (1-7). While I know that something like that is luck and can turn at any time I won't feel great if it's a close game with 5 minutes to go.

Other than VT and New Hampshire last year, all of the Tribe losses have been close in the last couple of years. However, this year, the UVA loss was different in that the Tribe played very well in the 4th quarter. Other than the last 9 minutes at Delaware where we simply failed to stop the run and played again too close to the vest, we have played much better in the 4th so far this season. Let's hope that trend continues Saturday. Hard to see Saturday as anything other than a referendum on our defense. Perhaps we will fare better than JMU did on Saturday, but it will be a tough test.

I am still expecting JMU to reinstate Justin Thorpe for a 7th game against the Tribe. I am sure everyone remembers him as an outstanding member of JMU Nation. Will be listening to Coach here shortly to see if there are any updates on Dedmon, Hart and Rhodes.

Listening to Coach, he thinks they are as good as anybody in the country.

Hero Sports lists this year's top 10 candidates to make the NFL from the FCS. Two of them were supposed to be playing in Williamsburg this Saturday but won't: Vlad Lee and Luke Rhodes.
