Really? Haha thats funny to me. Only losses to #1 Alabama and by 1 to a team that smoked you guys. Please explain your logic. I Cannot wait to play you guys in a couple weeks. This argument will be squashed quick.

Are you really going to start talking about your loses as an argument that Western is better? You sound real proud of those "moral" victories. Western has zero quality wins. La Tech wins by two touchdowns.

I'm using it to illustrate the lunacy of the confidence of MT fans that we are "not good" this year. Until someone beats us in conference for the first time in a while I don't think anyone can judge us as not good.

I think WKU builds up a big lead early and LaTech closes the gap late to make it scary, but the TOPS pull away at the end.

Yes actually. This seems to be our problem again this year. Pulled that same move with Miami Ohio and Vandy. Fortunately we get a few huge players back from injury Thursday so that should help a lot. Should be fun to watch.

Who are we getting back from injury for Thursday night? I have heard all of our guys are still out except LAMP who COULD play but is still listed as questionable was the last update I saw...

Quality wins would be a better "illustration" to use, but you have none. And the "until someone beats us were still on top" argument is silly. You've played one conference game thus far against one of the worst teams in the conference.

Tech needs to put it together to win, on offense and defense. Not just 1 half of football either. After the blown 28-7 debacle in Murfreesboro, no lead is safe with this defense and questionable play calling on offense

I have a good source. And there is no way the team would let out who all it was. But it will be good to have them back.

Listening to Chris Childers (MT Grad) and Rick Neuheisel (former UCLA and NFL QB), this game got some pretty good promo. Regarding the struggles of Non-Cartel teams to make money, both had some good things to say about Brohm and Holtz. Neuheisel will be the TV Analyst for the Thursday night telecast. Prediction: La Tech wins by 3. Toppers' injuries catch up with them and Bulldogs have their backs squarely against the wall.

Well Lamp coming back would be huge if that is indeed the news....You can say that again, WKU guards injuries like its the playbook haha....Half of these players message on social media about their surgeries before WKU says anything about it, after torn ACL WKU lists the players as questionable with a possible return...

Surprised so many are picking Tech. Good news for us is it is at home on a short week after we were at home. Bad news, WKU strength plays to our weakness. If WKU plays poorly I think we can pull this off. We need to have our best effort since Arkansas though. Hope we can do it because a loss here means basically no shot at the conference championship.

Reading these comments it appears neither teams fan base is confident. Put me in that group! Short week at home is big advantage and may allow Tech to hang around. If we can't get any pressure WKU QB will throw for 400 yards. We need to be able to run the ball! I expect more heavy sets from Tech. Is WKU MLB still out? would y'all say he is the best playmaker in the WKU front 7? I've heard his name often.

McCollum and Ward are the captains of our defense. Safety Ward is out for the rest of the season. McCollum the linebacker you mention sat out last week with an undisclosed injury. He could return this week. I also expect there is a good chance that Lamp will be back this week.

RE: Western Kentucky @ Louisiana Tech
I haven't watched Western Kentucky this year but after seeing our porous defense and our offense just space out for a half, I'd put my money on the Toppers. Our only shot is to limit big plays on defense, make Western Kentucky drive down the field to score, and limit them to field goals.

Our coach stated stud LB McCollum will be out for awhile along with an important DL....Lamp our NFL left tackle could be back, but no one is sure of that...

Ward is a huge loss. Is he a senior? Any chance of Med. RS?

He is a senior yes, he would be eligible for a medical RS more then likely, however Ward is extremely smart and has a great job already lined up waiting for him....So who knows if he would even want to come back, Brohm said Ward will make that decision shortly on what he wants to do....

Skip said this game is becoming a rivalry with the players. Both teams respect each other, but want to beat each other badly. Series tied 1-1... rubber match! (then we probably won't play again for 5 years... 04-chairshot ).
