But I dont see the logic in a 4-2, 2-0 team in being a D grade. Should be no less than C no matter the opponents.

The grades are based on expectations vs reality. This wasn't supposed to be a power rating. Who expected UTSA to beat the pants off USM?

all good I was just replying to the clown who made up a thin air reasoning for some one else's grades by pointing to "body of work". ODU is where I expected to be before the season started and our tough stretch starts next week. If we beat one or two of WKU, USM and Marshal then I would grade better if not we are where we thought we would be.

EDIT: I had to mention i didn't expect the margin of victory that ODU has been enjoying so far this season so that is definitely a surprise there.

LT - B - doing well in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year.
UTSA - B - keep building.
UNT - B - ditto. Rebuild moving along.
UTEP - D - what's coming after Aaron Jones?
Rice - F - Bailiff slipped. Time to retire him and start over.

MTU - C- - Vandy stomped you.
WKU - B - wasn't sure what the dropoff from Doughty would be, but White has been a pleasant surprise.
Marshall - D - really surprised how far they've dropped. I would expect them to claw their way back the rest of the season. If they tank... wow.
ODU - B - clawing, scraping, fighting. Continue.
Charlotte - C - ditto.
FIU - D+ - at least you fired your coach.

MTSU- B+ Leading the east and in control. Disappointing loss to Vandy mars the report card

LaTech- B+. Big win over WKU but blew the MTSU game.. Played Arkansas close

ODU- B+ Right with MTSU and a resounding win against UTSA. The loss to app keeps them from an A

WKU- B After losing who they did, they are still right in the thick of it

FIU- B- Interim coach seems to have pumped some life into the program

USM- C- only thing that keeps them from a d is a p5 win.

UTSA- C. Nice win vs USM but got throttled by ODU... However, that might not turn out to be such a bad loss after all...
