How do you grade the C-USA teams based on how you expected them to preform this season?

Charlotte (C) 2-4 is bad, but they are still new to the FBS
FAU (F) They need to step up and make a move like FIU did
FIU (D+) Fired the coach and are working to fix the problems
LA Tech (A) Great performances all season
Marshall (F) Not up to their standards
MT (A+) Maybe the best team in C-USA
North Texas (B+) .500 is great considering where they were last season
ODU (A) 4-2 is good, even against bad teams
Rice (F) Never good to be searching for the 1st win in October
Southern Miss (B-) Loses to Troy and UTSA were not expected
UTEP (F) The win over MNSU was a long time ago
UTSA (B+) 2-3 but with a first year coach
WKU (B-) .500 and 1-1 in conference play is not good for the defending champ

Thoughts?

MTSU - B
USM, Charlotte, & ODU - C
Louis Tech & North Texas D
Everyone else - F

Considering that the team has less than 70 scholarship players, we're 1-11 last year, and have won 3 games...B+ is appropriate...McCarney left the program in shambles...littrell and ekelar have been a godsend

I would give Tech a C. Blew a chance at Arkansas and played awful football in the 2nd half at MTSU. Not to mention the dismal performance at TT. 3-3 = average

North Texas was 1-11 last season, with the worst loss to an FCS school in college football history. With a new coach bringing in a new offense and defense, 3 wins this season would have been an acceptable start. No one thought we would be anywhere near .500 right now. So yes, B+ sounds right to me. Have you even watched North Texas play?

It depends on the scale. If we are measuring against college football teams around the nation, I would go with this:

MT, WKU, La Tech: C

USM, UTSA: C-

ODU, NT: D

Everybody else: F

OK. I agree with your list based on expectations. Maybe drop WKU and MT a bit due to the Vanderbilt games. I think both should have won those games.

The first 6 quarters: B+
Last 18 quarters: negative infinity

I guess that averages out to about absolute zero.

Solid B. Better than expected, but you know you could have pulled the A.

ODU getting a D by someone is a little out there but whatever floats your boat

FIU (F) - Fired the coach. I don't know what's going on down there.
LA Tech (B) - Played the toughest schedule of anyone in CUSA so far.
Marshall (F) - Biggest surprise of the season. Totally unexpected.
MTSU (A) - Good, but not infallible. But getting it done.
North Texas ("C") - The other big surprise. But this one is good.
ODU ("C") - At least 4 of 6 games have been against very weak teams. Not sold yet but COULD happen. Toughest team to grade IMO.
Rice (F) - I told you guys last December that keeping Bailiff would be a mistake after he wanted the UTSA job.
Southern Miss (C-) - As they say in social media circles, "trending down".
UTEP (F) - With all its resources, UTEP's performances are inexplicable.

I give WKU a B-. A Vandy win would've gotten them a B+, but so be it.

FIU beats FAU, is 2-0 in conference, and gets an F, while FAU gets a D and still hasn't beat a FBS team.... K. My thoughts below (not grading to expectations, but instead based on performance)

Rice: F+ (You get a + for academics )

ODU:C (met expectations)

UTSA: C- (surprise bump but will it last?)

Proof-positive of the anti-FIU bias we constantly see on here. FIU beats FAU but you give them a higher grade - - just because. Sounds fair. Look, I don't think that FIU is worthy of high grade. But when your first impulse is to automatically give FAU a higher grade than FIU - - and choosing to ignore actual evidence - - you have to indulge in some self-reflection.

And to inform you: FIU fired its head coach and has gone undefeated since, beating 2 other CUS-A teams. So is it ignorance on your part? Or is it an honest mistake? Perhaps it is just bias against the team from Miami? Maybe, just maybe, can it be your prejudice against a school that is minority-majority? Hmmm.

Woah... calm down there. Probably a mistake or slip up on his part, assigning letters to the wrong F_U school. Or he's putting a lot of emphasis on the coach firing. Seems like a D grade, beat UMass and it'd be a D+ or C. FAU on the other hand is an F.
