Regressive? LOL. You guys want to bring us back to the 1950's. Soros believes in pluralism, cooperation, human rights and consensus. I get that there are people, like Putin, Bannon, Orban, Duterte, Le Pen, and Erdogan, who loathe freedom and human rights....but Soros is opposed to that.
Soros is very regressive. He wants a one-world government, ruled by technocrats and elites, with no real democracy. He supports violent protesters, e.g. Maiden neo-nazis in Ukraine. He's an enemy of national sovereignty and seeks to destroy individual cultures. Basically, he's an enemy of freedom. If he was successful, we'd end up with the government out of 1984/Brave New World stomping on our faces forever. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. His "open societies" project is just a front to destroy nations.
