How the hell do you know? What a ridiculous statement. Just ridiculous.

- Not contacting Nick Marshall even once
- Contacting Woodson once
- Making next to no effort to keep Markel
- Taking a vacation after getting the job here with only 8 scholarship players

Maybe he didn't want Marshall. I never thought Marshall was any sort of difference maker. I'll take Mike Parks over Marshall every day. I mean I wish the guy the best, but I just didn't see him as a high D1 player. Remind me where Nick is now?

Woodson was leaving no matter what.

I'm sure Markel will produce at Ole Miss, but I'm just fine with plugging that hole with Johnson, Brewton, and Rhodes. I'd rather get Johnson experience in a year in which we are unlikely to get to the NCAA tournament regardless of whether Crawford is here or not.

I don't know what he did on his vacation, was it a dead period, was he making phone calls, who knows.

I do agree that he should have done a better job of shoring up the roster last year, no doubt. But I'm also fine with a reset this year.

Tired of the drama, I'm hoping we've got some guys all pulling in the same direction for a change.

I share your hope, but there is little evidence that a coach losing most of his players from last year (Marshall, Woodson, Crawford, Dedric, KJ, Cleergot, etc) has the player management skills necessary to promote harmony for the greater good.

Recruiting may not be his strength, but player management I'm not worried about. There's a pretty solid track record there. Any time there's a new sherriff in town, some folks are gonna want to leave.

We should be thrilled if we get the same production from Parks as we got from Marshall his freshman season...plus Parks only has 2 seasons. Everything that you rationalize together in one big pile is why we are in this mess. If a couple of them don't happen, at least we have some momentum.

None of it rests at Pastner's feet of course.

I say we blame Pastner until 2025 just to be safe. Tubby is blaming us, the program, the fans, the brand...

You hear what you want to hear. Tubby is in year 2 and he took over a dumpster fire.

If TS is here for 7 years and screws the program up as bad as that incompetent, goofball did, then yes.

Screws the program? Tubby has made it a laughingstock. Pastner has OUTPERFORMED Tubby since he has been a coach. Tubby is LESS competent than Pastner.

The facts backup Stammers. If the facts are wrong, then produce a correction.

Otherwise, the fact based conclusion is we replaced an under productive coach with an even less under productive coach.

So the jury is in. 1 year, inherited a dumpster fire, couldn't fix it, he's terrible, get rid of him. Got it.

I agree that more time is needed before producing the initial report card (end of year three for me), but he is failing the tests by Tiger standards to date.

Of course not, the damage is done and everyone will have to live with it. He probably gets this year and next year unless this year is Larry Porter bad.

Then shut your pie hole and enjoy the ride. Might be better than you think. It does no good to constantly harp on the downside. Wait until the season starts, if the team is underperforming, by all means critique away.

I have no idea what to expect this upcoming season. I think it's possible we could be improved over last year, I think it's possible we could be ECU bad. Just don't know. If we are ECU bad, I'll be pissed just like everyone else.

"...After Tubby's honeymoon period, the Minnesota basketball program was rarely fun. A slew of players transferred. Royce White and Devoe Joseph took part in melodramas that would make for a great Bravo reality show. Tubby pointed fingers alternately at his players and the lack of a practice facility. Tubby often seemed unable in press conferences to pinpoint what ailed his teams. On most occasions Tubby's players didn't play with confidence. No one seemed to be having much fun...."

I say we blame Pastner until 2025 just to be safe. Tubby is blaming us, the program, the fans, the brand...

You hear what you want to hear. Tubby is in year 2 and he took over a dumpster fire.

You see what you want to see. Most of us aren't blind.

The lack of practice facility excuse will not work at Memphis. Tubby will have to invent other excuses for failure.
