I know its a pipe dream but I wish the local media would throw UC some pub for the Ohio State game and the last weekend series against USF May 18-20. With the Reds being miserable, its an opportunity for some baseball fans to enjoy an entertaining team, in a great facility, at very economical price. Be nice to fill some seats , the guys deserve it.

I agree.
I've heard brief coverage whenever X beats UC in baseball. Not surprisingly, I don't think the UC sweep this season was mentioned much, if at all, in local media last night or today. I've never been to the field where X plays but watching the highlights at gobearcats.com it appears there is little to no seating there. Visually, that facility just doesn't compare with Marge Schott Stadium and I suspect that was at least part of the draw for our new coach.
Weird start time for OSU--11 a.m. on a weekday? Not sure what was up with that. The USF series should be a good weekend draw and here's hoping we get some more fans on campus for those games. This team really competes and plays fundamentally sound baseball most nights.
Disappointing for sure. If they had to suffer a blowout, it's better that it was out of conference. They're still in the AAC race and here's hoping their worst performance is now in the rear view mirror.

Good Lord. 5 beanballs?
I've heard of control issues, but sheesh
(I was looking for the clip where Euker introduces the "the Duke" by saying "I heard he threw at his kid at the father-son baseball game last weekend." But this'll do.)

UC dropped the last game at ECU going 1-2 for the series. We're now 26-24 overall and 11-10 in conference play. With four games left (3 at home against USF), what does the team need to do to get an NCAA post season play invite? Short of winning the conference tournament, can we make the playoffs this year?

No.
Have to win the aac. They'll be decently positioned and it's baseball so who knows.

Yesterday's loss sucked. We were up 5-1 into the 8th, where we proceeded to give up 5 runs in the last two innings. Would have made a huge difference in league standings if we were able to hold on and win that one.
Great win! We're up to 84 in RPI, which is the highest I recall for the program. Not to play the what if game (prelude to a what if), but if we hadn't blown that ECU lead on Sunday, we'd be in the mid-70s.
Darn, forgot about the ten run rule and left for my office during the 7th inning stretch. Oh well, I have to get a little work done once in a while between Bearcat sporting events. This one was really fun. Great crowd, genuine baseball weather and you could tell the elementary school kids--maybe 1,400 in all, were having a blast (We would have too if it meant a day out of the old schoolhouse!).
It's always a joy to blow out old OSU, regardless of the sport. Buckeye fans are pretty full of themselves. Most seem to believe all things OSU are like Mary Poppins--practically perfect in every way. Talked to a couple other Bearcat fans in the stands and they were shocked to hear how much more highly ranked the AAC is as a college baseball conference than the B10.
So it's been a pretty exciting season and it would be great for folks to turn out this final weekend for a team that's showing a lot of promise. For the coming "August-like" weather; a cold beer and soft pretzel in Marge Schott Stadium sounds like a winner. Go 'Cats!
