RE: Kevin Ollie fired
UConn can't afford to make a bad hire... If their goal is to revive their basketball program they must bring someone who in reality would do whatever it takes even if it means cheating.
Rick says me and my agent are ready to negotiate if you want your program back to breathing again.

The BE is more or less a collection of liberal arts colleges that have done well for themselves from a PR perspective. That isn’t UCONN.
The only conferences that really fit UCONN's profile are the Big Ten and America East. With that said UCONN is too far behind the Big Ten schools and too far ahead of the America East schools. There is no great fit at the moment, which is why UCONN's current home is the best...for now.

Not to derail the thread, but you remind me of a question I’ve always had: How in TF did putrid Rutgers gain membership in the B10 ahead of a school like UCONN? I would assume that Rutgers “delivers” the NYC market about like the MVC’s Loyola “delivers” Chicago. Which is to say LOL on both accounts.

1. While both are quality public universities, Rutgers is ahead in research, endowment, and AAU status.
2. While both schools land the desirable NY market, Rutgers also lands NJ (population: 9 million) compared to Connecticut (population: 3.6 million).

Apparently UConn doesn't think so, going the "fired for cause" route.
