Quick reminder, odds are about money not ability.

Also Michigan is overrated and barring a bad shooting night (sub 30%) and I expect you to win.

My preseason 14/1 wichita ticket has lost a lot of value but i still don't hate it. Like most shock fans i expected much better this year.

I would concern myself with San Diego State first though.

we get them second round if we win.....more of an emphasis that we have work to do if we want to get past the first weekend. which has always been the ultimate goal of Houstons , more of how we got a hard draw.

How Ironic? Growing up in the Philly area I remember the 1985 championship Villanova won. It was not a great regular season but because of playing in the very strong Big East they received a 8th seed, playing an 8/9 game. Yet in the second round they beat your Michigan nemesis, who were a number 1 seed in the second round.

Of course the rest is history, the lowest seeded team to win a championship, including beat #2 seed Memphis (State) and ending in beating a thought to be superior Patrick Ewing led Georgetown.

Moral of the story. Just beat who you play next!

I think Sampson put that into the team's head going into the AAC tourney this year. After two first round exits the previous two years, it was clear in the UCF game he wasn't messing around. I firmly believe he'll have them ready for our first NCAA game in forever.

Someone good at betting. If I parlay $1 on all 3 of UC, WSU, and UH to advance how much do I net?

If it’s just to advance, we would need to know the money lines, not the point spreads. Those aren’t out yet. They’re all favorites so it won’t be much. Maybe between $2-$2.50 with the Houston game doing the most work in that payout.

If you bet them all to cover their spreads, it will be $6. That’s reflective of how hard it is to cover any given three spreads though.

Very similar to what we, Cincinnati, got last year as a 5. Ucla in the second round with ksu in the first.

FiveThirtyEight have come up with their BPI based bracket projections:

Cincinnati is a 53% to the Elite Eight and the 5th best chance to win the title (apparently...) but also the worst odds of any 2-seed in their first round game (92% chance of a win vs. >96+% for all other 2's)
Houston has the best odds to win the first game out of any 6-seed and a 33% chance to make the Sweet Sixteen
Wichita State has the best odds out of anyone in their pod to make the Sweet Sixteen.
