If you had any honor you would apologize to the entire board both for this performance and also for your cocky and arrogant attitude towards your fellow conference fans.
As a UCF fan, I will NEVER disrespect an opponent or assume victory or look down on any opponent. I might needle the hell out of USF but I also respect the hell out of them.
As a UCF fan you CAN'T disrespect a basketball opponent because your program isn't good enough.
The only thing I'm apologizing for is the inconsistent effort out of the Shockers all year long culminating in a national full-on pant-shitting moment.
Instead of One Shining Moment, I'm calling it our One Shitting Moment.

From an eye-test standpoint, Marshall was one of the weakest teams we played all year. Kenpom gave 'em a 100. Marshall reminded me of a mediocre UNI team. The way we played today, a game against any CUSA member would not be a sure thing until the final horn sounded.

The reason why some here are snickering at Wichita's loss is due to the collective arrogance of many of their fans that have been here the past year.
That said, well done Herd.
The reason most are snickering is because Wichita State came into this league on a tidal wave of hype. Hype that was built up on the back of a 10-5 record in the NCAA tournament since 2012, one of the best road records in the NCAA, one of the best defense averages in the NCAA, One of the best average win totals in the NCAA, and one of the most exciting and consistent performers in the NCAA tournament. There are many other accolades I could list but I'll allow others to chime in.
The main point is, we came into this league preseason top 10 with a returning class that won 30 games last season. Our entrance to the AAC instantly legitimized it as a power.

You came into this game like you were gonna blow past them and it bit you in the butt
We didn't get punched in the mouth by anybody today. We punched ourselves in the nuts.
An interesting side story: at the beginning of the season, BC1 warned me that Cincy was gonna punch us in the mouth and then stomp on our throats when we faced them. Early in the game at Wichita, Shaq came out of for a moment with a suspected bloody lip. I laughed a little and though immediately of BC1.
(this story has nothing to do with anything I'm saying right now - my memory of it was jogged when I read , "punch you in the mouth" in the paragraph above.

For sure. We were expected to come into this conference and provide legitimacy.
More importantly, we let ourselves down. We've been playing suspiciously weak all season long. Today would be the low point game of the year. Perfect timing right?

CB I give you mucho props for sticking around and taking the lumps. That shows a lot of character.
It's what I do. I set this Shocker hype train in motion many years ago. I'll continue to ride this ***** until she reaches her destination (national championship) or runs out of gas...

Some of us were arrogant for a reason you simpleton. Pre-season Top 10 and #3 in the nation affords a modicum of arrogance.
UCF is still waiting to be taken serious nationally in any sport so I'm wasting my time trying to explain the concept of National Power to you.
Shouldn't you be out buying more billboards advertising your fraudulent national championship? Get back to work, UCF still has an ounce or two left of self-respect to burn.

one could definitely argue 2 NY6 bowl wins are bigger than anything wichita state has ever done. And one would probably right with that argument
Hardly. Our Final Four in 2013 was likely viewed by more people than both of your bowls put together. It was estimated that our Final Four run was worth $500 million in publicity value to the university. I believe we are still reaping benefits to this day. I had no idea UCF even had a football team until I joined this conference. 10's of millions all across the world know about Wichita State's Final Four run.

When Marshall takes the Louisville job, the Shockers can hire a real Hall of Fame coach who will rebuild their program the right way. Tubby is waiting
As long as Marshall stays at Wichita State, he will eventually build the program up to a level where his teams use this conference like a 16 year old uses a pocket pu$$y.

What? He's whining not because they lost but because they were losing. Who always gives 100% effort? Who always beats the teams they're supposed to beat?
Geez, Wichita has a very successful program, and he's spoiled by what they've become, where losing to a team they're better than is a major disappointment. But he's so disappointed, he can't even watch as they're just behind to that team. Goodness, save your tears, 7 years ago, Wichita was just a random team in the Valley.
Random team in the Valley? Try again bub.

You need to listen to me right now-sometimes a team plays beneath their abilities because the other team makes it so. Not acknowledging this makes you sound foolish and ignorant about how sports work. You’re not foolish and ignorant are you?
You think Marshall imposed their will on us today?

That's always been one of your problems here. Anytime you get beat, no credit given to the opposing team, whether it's Temple, Houston, or Marshall.
I give credit when credit is due. And credit is due when we are playing at our best and get beat.
I gave credit to Notre Dame in 2015
I gave credit to Kentucky in 2014
I didn't give full credit to Kentucky in 2016 because we played kind of poorly but that could have been due to their NBA roster.
I didn't give full credit to Louisville because we got jobbed royally by the refs. and kind of collapsed towards the end after being up by 12 points.
I gave full credit to SMU for beating us (but now I'd like to take a little of that credit back as after the season was complete, it was evident statistically that we had a glaringly uncharacteristic defensive problem that persisted through every game we played. Had we demonstrated our normal Marshall defense - 2009-2017 - maybe SMU doesn't bet us)
I think I gave credit to Cincy for beating us in Wichita (but I did remind them that they barely won and we slapped them at their place)
I will never give credit to Temple for beating us at their place. Hell, even Marshall has stated numerous times that we gave that game away and he doesn't say that very often. It was reminiscent of today's performance with respect to laziness and lack of focus.
Oh, and I gave Houston 75% credit for beating us down in Ozone City as per our agreement for beating Cincy.
BOOM!
The End! (for now)
