Great news and timing. UC continuing to invest in top notch facilities for our athletes...
Sigh, always an arms race. One NFL scout called Miami’s IPF the best in Ohio when it opened in 2015, and our football facility was described as P5 quality in 2017. Doesn’t take long for it to get upstaged, even if unfortunately UC hasn’t been a true peer for a long time now.

RE: Stadium Renovation and Construction Thread
Hawaii is wrapping up expansion of its temporary on-campus stadium from 9K to 15K seats. Also the big video board that was once mounted at Aloha Stadium has been moved to the temporary stadium.
There are further improvements planned for 2024 that will add a VIP seating and dining area and increase capacity to 17K. The university is committed to making the venue as attractive as possible for as long as the Warriors play there.
In the meantime the Aloha Stadium replacement project continues to proceed at a glacial pace. Ironically the hold up is not funding, which is approved and available ($400 million), but rather the state's lack of progress toward issuing an RFP to select a developer. The RFP was supposed to go out last fall, and then the target was this summer, and now the target is sometime in 2024... unbelievable. Consequently the project completion date has been pushed out again and will be either 2027 or 2028.

Cutting-edge athlete performance center will rise at Bobby Dodd Stadium on The Flats
At the northeastern corner of historic Bobby Dodd Stadium, a 115,000-square-foot sports facility project is moving forward that’s expected to boost Georgia Tech’s football program and other athletic teams. It will rise in the footprint of the current Edge/Rice Center, Tech’s athletics headquarters, with a modified design versus what was initially envisioned four years ago.
Another component of the project will be premium seating offered to Ramblin’ Wreck football fans and people attending other big events held at the stadium. The project is expected to be complete in 2025.

Is that greeting of "How's it goin' everybody" something that everyone in Hawai'i uses, or just something Rob Demello uses?.

McNeese is also spending I think 1.1 million on a new locker room.

The greeting is a DeMello trademark, although it's meant to evoke the widely-used Hawaii pidgin greeting "Howzit!" which is basically short for "How's it going?"
And no, we don't have glaciers, but in winter we do have blizzards and snow-capped mountains!

The project, spearheaded by a record-breaking donation from Larry and Rhonda Sheakley, aims to enhance the student-athlete experience. The 84,000-square-foot facility, to be completed by the 2024 football season, will feature a 120-yard football field and be used by other UC programs. The 96,000-square-foot Performance Center, scheduled to open before the 2025 football season, will include offices, nutrition stations, a dining hall, weight room, training room, and mental health services. Over $88 million has been raised for the Day One Ready Campaign, which funds this project and others. Gensler and MSA Sport are the project's architects, and Messer Construction is the construction manager.
The new facility will become the daily hub for Cincinnati football.
Eye-catching Entrance: The football training center will boast a striking entrance designed to impress recruits and fans alike.
Team Locker Room & Meeting Spaces: Cincinnati’s football team will enjoy the convenience of being situated next to its practice field, maximizing efficiency.
State-of-the-Art Weight Room: The facility will include a cutting-edge strength and conditioning area, located adjacent to the indoor practice facility.
Coaches' Offices & Player Zones: Designed to facilitate more face-to-face interactions, the spaces allocated for Bearcats football coaches and staff will feature dedicated team and lounge areas that appeal to both players and recruits.
Advanced Sports Medicine and Training: Cincinnati's sports medicine staff will have access to top-notch resources for treating student-athletes, ensuring their health and growth.
Serving all UC Student-Athletes: The performance and nutrition center will cater to all student-athletes, offering a dining hall, lounge, and outdoor activities and amenities.https://gobearcats.com/sports/2023/5/10/indoor-practice-facility-and-performance-center.aspx
Such a small campus. Finding a place for these things always a challenge

Cuse has been undergoing a multiple year and phase renovation. There are five sports using the Dome so it has to be carefully planned.
5G WiFi should be ready by September
Seat upgrade should began after basketball season. Capacity will be reduced...you can't expand the footprint. There are buildings surrounding the Dome. However SU is connecting a building to the Dome to create extra meeting space for fans. Fun fact: Another University is literally 75 feet from the Dome.

But it used to be part of SU and its students can do everything a Syracuse student can do but play for the Orange.
