F.S.U. had a most impressive showing in the WCWS sweeping what many considered to be an unstoppable Washington team. It's the First National Championship for Florida State in Softball.

1st championship for any ACC school in Women's Softball.
Women's softball is growing in the ACC, Clemson adds the sport next year. For years the PAC was the kingpin (queenpin) of women's softball, then the SEC horned in, now the ACC is elbowing it's way into the mix with FSU leading he way. Congratulations to FSU.

Hoping this means better things for the ACC in softball. I'm tired of hearing U-ah-K fans chirp about softball and SEC dominance.

Cards are looking for a new head coach as the founder of the program just announced her retirement. She laid a pretty good foundation, but couldn't get over the hump. Hopefully our next hire can elevate the program beyond the super-regional level.
